The closeness of our relationships are defined by the freedom we feel to deliver our authentic message. The deepest bonds are held together by a bridge of honesty. Real love holds space for vulnerabilityโ€” where we can be open, raw and even share parts of us that are not fully processed but ready to be expressed. Whether within ourselves or in front of someone that is close to us, vulnerability asks for non-judmental acceptance of our imperfections. This is a form of compassion that can help us observe our story in a different light, hopefully elevating what was once burdensome into a more insightful understanding. This is also a form of compassion that can simply accept what is without trying to change itโ€” sometimes vulnerability justs asks to be seen and heard. If we are far away from ourselves, meaning we are not honest with ourselves and full of unprocessed emotions/conditioning, we will naturally have difficulty being close to others. Giving loving support becomes easier when we have taken time to explore our own inner world and done the work to let go of subconscious patterns that do not align with how we want to show up in the world. Sending love to all beings. May we all expand our inner knowing. May we all let go of the conditioning that gets in the way of reclaiming our power. May we all be happy and free. Inward is on sale for $9.99 via the link and available in bookstores. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŽ #yungpueblo

Once the tense energy that is wrapped around a memory is released, this past moment goes from being a point of difficulty to an experience that teaches us to not allow such things to happen in the future or that change is a natural part of life that should not cause us misery. Deep healing happens when we engage the subconscious and start releasing the patterns that are cluttered in there. Though our conditioning and emotional history may seem hardened to the point that it feels permanent, it actually isn't. The mind is always changing and it is malleable enough to move it in a different direction. Tough moments are a natural outcome when are in a process of letting go. Putting effort into choosing new behaviors and releasing old bundled up emotions can temporarily cause imbalance. It takes a great deal of courage to unbind our old conditioning. Questioning what we have held firm for years and expanding our perspective beyond the grasp of our emotions into the realm of objective truth is no easy task. With equanimity the process becomes smoother. Everything is always changing, which means that pain cannot last forever. Letting go requires a process of purification, a tool or practice that challenges us, but does not overwhelm us. To be committed to our freedom is to say no to fear and yes to honesty. Fear is the maker of stories that lead us into delusion. Honesty is the revealer of attachments that hold us back from embracing truth. Sending love to all beings. May we all release the burdens we carry. May we all be happy and free. May our experiences give us the wisdom needed for true liberation. Normally, we live life in a constant state of reactive accumulation, where we are simply adding more and more emotional/thought patterns into our subconscious that later push us into behaving in the ways that were common for us in the pastโ€” meaning that if we were prone to reacting with anger to difficult situations we will continue doing so when new situations remind us of past moments where we felt anger. The mind will literally repeat the emotions it has most often felt, because that is what it knows best. Once we say yes to healing and growth we open the door that used to keep the patterns of the past locked away, through a practice that increases our awareness and helps the barrier between the conscious and subconscious become lighter and permeable, the imprints we used to accumulate everytime we felt an intense emotion start coming up to the surface so that they can be released. Sometimes these old imprints bring with them visceral emotions, tough feelings that have been locked away that now have the space they need to evaporate during moments of practice and awareness. An important part of letting go is feeling without reinforcingโ€” you can be honest with yourself about the heavy emotions that are coming up and choose not to act them out or make them worse. When we can feel them without being fully consumed by them they release at a faster rate. Tough emotions and agitated thoughts cannot takeover your life when you meet them with ease, acceptance and calmness. If you meet the rough parts of you with gentleness they will melt away, leaving you lighter and giving you more space to act from a place of wisdom. All you need to do is be okay with not being okay during tense moments of release. Is there a practice that is helping you let go? Sending love to all beings. May we all find a practice that helps us let go. May we all continue reclaiming our power. May we all be happy and free. The price of Inward was lowered to $9.99 via the link and it is also available in bookstores. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŽ #yungpueblo

The mind is inclined toward being defensive because one of its main objectives is to protect usโ€” this form of caution has the tendency to go overboard by going too deeply into examining uncertain information and creating stories out of it, this can cause us unnecessary fear and mental tension. To be clear, there is nothing wrong with defending ourselves as individuals, but it is helpful to observe that if our mind solely exists in a defensive stance then that must surely be impeding on our personal peace. Taking a moment to examine if we are jumping to conclusions can save us a significant amount of worry and grief. Sending love to all beings. May we all be happy and free. When sadness and anxiety took control of my actions it led me into the darkest period of my life. What started my journey inward was a pain and tension that had become so loud within me that it started pouring out into my life as destructive behavior. I hurt myself the most when I fell into a constant hunt for pleasure, not realizing that I was actually seeking love and the inner peace that comes with happiness. Unprepared and unwilling to see what was inside of me, I found pleasure to be my great escape, this led me into using drugs to the point where I became incredibly unhealthy in my body, mind and relationships. Never being able to find satisfaction in the sensation of pleasure, the downward spiral into misery eventually shifted when my body said enough. I felt so sick and out of balance that my life felt like it was drifting away. Realizing that I was on the edge, it hit me that I could still turn everything around and that I had the power to start moving in a different direction. The first instance of reclaiming my power was when I said no more to hard drugs and started saying yes to being radically honest with myself. In the summer of 2011, I began to change my habits by focusing on healing my body through nutrition, exercise and by engaging with my inner turmoil through moving inward with honesty, compassion and courage. This helped me accept how miserable I was and how rebirth was possible. Slowly the new habits made me feel stronger, calmer and gentler with my own life and the lives of those around me. Starting to have love for myself showed me how similar we all are. In the summer of 2012 the deep healing started when I did my first silent 10 day Vipassana course, which helped me begin the process of releasing the patterns that limit my happiness and freedom. My personal history has shown me one critically important truth: real healing is possible, but it does take courage and effort to build the habits that can create a new life. I am not fully free, there is much more to release, but I'm grateful to be here and on my way. Sending love to all beings. May we all be happy and free. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŽ #yungpueblo
