When I first started posting my yoga practice on Instagram it was more so a visual record for me to see what I was actually doing. So many times while I am flowing my body feels one way when it is actually another. I also love photos and videos to see exactly where I need to improve. . . @aloyoga #aloyoga #yoga
This full moon /eclipse definitely got to me this time. A lot of things came up for me that perhaps I have been hiding away and ignoring. The light of the full moon brought all those things into recognition. I talked to myself out loud, I cried, but all of that allowed me to release. There is this one deep fear I have that has surprisingly been scaring me. I did not take it as a fear for a while, but the full moon light allowed me yo see exactly how I have been feeling. It still is not resolved but one step at a time. Perhaps that is a post for another day. . . 🌕What did this full moon bring up for you? 🌕 . . Some incite from @chaninicholas The partial lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 16th casts its shadow over our lives and psyches, helping us purge what has invaded our systems and clarify any of the more unhelpful emotional patterns we have let steer our ways of working. In stark contrast to the more flawless personas we create, our less likable personality traits get a chance to make themselves known now. During eclipses, we are often asked to integrate or witness what we usually reject. This exercise is not merely a practice in making ourselves feel better, however. Each of us contains information about the whole. As we encounter, confront, and hopefully heal more aspects of self, we get to understand the nature of the ailments that threaten all. We are never healing in a silo. During lunar eclipses, we may tend to want to hide out. Sleep in. Let the body rest and do what it needs to. We can aide this process by actively cleaning, cleansing, and going through a (gentle and safe) purification process. A little journaling can go a long way in sorting through emotions that have become stuck or stifled. A little ritual that you find therapeutic can help you to digest whatever has been clogging your system. Spending a moment just witnessing what is coming into your life and how you are responding to it can shift your experience completely. . . Wearing @aloyoga 📷 @fitflexjuli
✨Energy doesn’t lie✨ Surround yourself with those that lift you up and allow you to vibrate on a higher level. Instead of drawing energy from them allow yourself to share so that you both benefit from the interaction. When we all have positive energy and vibrate together, we are limitless . . If you feel drained, sad or upset when you are with somebody it’s because your energy isn’t compatible and they could just be vibrating on a lower frequency. In the real world we sometimes have to still be around those people. So make sure you protect yourself as well as prepare for those interactions. You don’t want to leave an interaction feeling drained and depleted. . Ways to protect yourself: -Carry a crystal that applies to that situation -say a prayer of protection -set an intention -limit your time with those that have negative energy - shine so bright that nothing can dim your light ☀️✨ . . Do you have any other tips to add to the list? . . Twinning in the new @aloyoga fall dusted plum with @nayitavp . 📷 @guiselacoradophotography
🌸 I just got back from Bali and I am all sorts of jet lagged. It’s such a crazy feeling, like a hangover. And I don’t drink, so I haven’t had this sort of feeling in a long tine. Today I feel better than yesterday but it is still lingering. I feel like it may take another day or two to totally go away. Anybody have and recommendations to make it go away quicker. Or things you have done after long flights crossing times zones. Write it in the comments please 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 . . Wearing @aloyoga At the amazing @themahalani in northern Bali.
🧜🏽♀️ It hurts my heart to know that there is actually a hashtag dedicated to not wanting a black Ariel. To know that there is hate revolving around what color skin a mermaid has. When in reality a mermaid is a mythical magical creature that probably doesn’t have a skin color of white, tan or brown... but rather an iridescent glow that emits a beautiful aura that is almost blinding filled with all the colors of the rainbow. ( well that’s at least what I believe) . I’m also sooooo excited to see another variation of the little mermaid. 😻 . Why waste time with hate when there are better ways to spend your time? . But anywho. If for some reason @disney needs a fill in for Halle Bailey @chloexhalle , I am ready to take the role. 🙋🏽♀️Lol. The Little Mermaid is my all time favorite movie and I know all the words to the songs. Just put a little auto tune to my voice and we are set to go. Plus I’m total Disney princess quality and I have an animal sidekick (my white cat Jasmin) So if anybody has the connection , hook it up😉 I’m not joking though 😂 . . What childhood movie would you be in?
It’s funny how outsiders that don’t know us may perceive us as different. But we are the same. Connected. Bound by the soul. Just like the song says, I can’t tell where you begin and I end, because we are one. We are literally able to read each other’s minds, or just communicate via a simple gaze that nobody else would understand. We know each other’s vices and love unconditionally regardless. We grow together in everything we do. . . Flowing at the gorgeous @themahalani this place was our favorite stop in Bali. The Mahalani is located in Bondelam which is north Bali a 3 hour drive from Ubud. It is a little piece of heaven along the coast away from the hustle and bustle of the busier tourist city areas. And on top of that I got to meet the owners, Tripp and Julie, who have been following me for a while. It was such a pleasure being able to connect, and eat together. This place has that special touch of love that you don’t find just anywhere. . Morning headstand flow 🧘🏽♀️ . I love being inverted.... but it’s so weird what fear does. I’ll tell you I haven’t fallen out of a headstand in a while, but just having the pool there gave me an instant fear that I could fall. Fear fills your head with so many doubts and can immobilize you. It’s up to you not to let fear control your actions. But rather understand the fear and respect it, but also let it go. . . . 🌱You are allowed to change. You are allowed to evolve. When you feel it coming. Embrace it with open arms. 🌿 . . Brian was joking with me earlier today, saying that years ago I would have never wanted to stay in an open type of place like @bambuindah . He has been trying to get me to go camping for yearssss. Back then I was way more divaish (I still am) but I have evolved, with baby steps. Don’t let anybody ever hold you to your past. You are meant to grow. . . 👙 @strangebikinis
I’m still in awe that I’m on the other side of the world. Something I could have only dreamed about a few years ago is real life. Bali has been on my list of destinations for a long time and I’m so happy that I finally took the leap and made this trip happen. This is still the beginning of my trip and I’m so excited for the adventures that await. . . . Where do you dream of traveling to? . . List anythings I must do while I’m here in Bali.
