New IGTV series! 💪🏻Tough with Love 💕 I’ve always liked calling the truth like it is and in this new series, that’s exactly what we’re doing. My goal is to help you achieve your potential - as a yogi but also as a human being. In this series’ we’ll be talking about topics that are a little controversial and oh so worth talking about. This is my opinion, given to all of you with the intention to help - would love to hear what you think 😉

The Power of a Like 💓 for Content Creators like me! It's funny to call myself a content creator because I've never really considered it as an identifier for what I do but the evidence has proved that I am indeed one ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the past year especially, I've been on content mode working very hard to create pictures and videos that I feel you'll enjoy and learn from, and that hopefully spark a desire to pursue your passion (whether it's yoga-related or not). And although it takes A LOT of time, energy and brainpower to create everything you have seen, my goal has always been to share what I know. The community that we've built together means the world to me, and I'm so so thankful to all of you for your support which is why I wanted to ask your help. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's super helpful for me to know what you like when planning what content to create for you. I've come up with a lot of ideas on my own but having your input on what you would like to see next is so valuable to me, especially because I want to make sure that I'm helping you with your own goals. So if you love something, let me know by liking, commenting, saving, tagging... you get it. It's the best way to know if I'm on track and as always, I'm always open to you reaching out and telling me your ideas or what you feel I can improve on - in fact, that's how my #yoga insta-series came to be! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you all for your help! I'm excited to see your reactions on my next series - first video is going live tomorrow on IGTV!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wearing @alo.yoga ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #yogawithbriohny #contentcreator #yogateacher #contentcreators #yogainspo #yogapracticenotyogaperfect

If your neck hurts when you're head-standing, do this 👆 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tripod Headstand is a wonderful foundational pose, that can help you get started with headstands. A lot of yogis think it's an easier pose than Sirsasana A because there's more weigh on the head because your hands are further away and consequently, a bigger foundation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The only problem is that we tend to splay the elbows out whch in turn puts too much weight in the neck and strains our shoulders. How can you solve this?? Keep watching ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉Btw, it's super-helpful for me to know what you like when planning what content to create for you. When your inside matches your outside 💓 I'm currently in the middle of working on my own website and there's a lot that goes into it creatively - including choosing the colors that I feel represent me. To be honest, I don't think that I had ever asked myself that question up until this point and although I struggled into putting it into words, I let my wardrobe do the talking. Like everyone, I have my favorite go-to pieces and you can always spot me by my uniform (my daughter @taylorchanarat makes fun of me because of this!) but apparently, I also have some go-to colors 🙈Choosing them and putting them together in a palette that represents "who Bri is" was such a great experience and getting to wear them is so empowering. I'll still have fun with what I wear and try new things, but it's an amazing feeling to know that I always have the option to wear something that not only represents who I am, but also feels entirely like myself. And yes, in case you were wondering, this is one of the colors that made it into the Bri palette 🎨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let's have fun together and let me know: what color(s) represent you?? "That's so not going to happen" If you had told me back in February that I would be back at work after a full ACL tear in my right knee with no surgery, this would have been my answer ⬆️And although it took me a little while, I got here 💪It's been 7 months since my injury and I feel stronger than ever. I'm doing jump squats and sprinting, and some things that I couldn't even do before my PT journey. All the attention I've been paying to the muscles in my legs and hips has paid off and I feel empowered and grateful for my healing process. I'm really proud of myself, for both the physical and mindset transformation. Because there are some yoga poses that I still can't do and I'm okay with it. Before I would have panicked and spent all my time trying to get my body to work the way it used to, but now I have the patience and love for myself to say "I got here and I'll get there too.. in my own time". My injury has been an incredible teacher and an opportunity for growth and understanding of myself. It hasn't been easy but I made it work for me and that's all you can ask of yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you're going through any injuries, know that you have a community here rooting for you. I know first hand how scary it can be so please know you can always reach out and talk to me 🙏And if you've gone through something similar, please share your experience; we'd love to learn from you ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Captured in beautiful Thailand @thailandinsider wearing @alo.yoga's fall collection

How to One-Arm "Hairstand": A Step-by-Step Guide ⬇️ This Instagram-favorite pose is one of my signature moves and a regular on my feed. I really love the creativity that goes into this pose and I like having fun with it. So I thought on sharing the trick behind it so you can have fun with it too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First things first, you need: a wall, long hair (if you're going for the hairstand but you do you) and a camera ready to take the shot: 👉Set up near a wall The leg that is on the wall is also the same side arm that is going to lift 👉Step your leg on the wall and lift your other leg up 👉Walk back until you feel like your hands and your lifted leg are in the same line 👉Get the foot of the leg that's on the wall a little bit out to the side so you can lean into the arm that you're going to balance on 👉Lift your hand 👉Snap the picture 📸 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Should I share more tutorials on insta-famous poses?? Let me know in the comments and tag someone who would 💓 to hairstand ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Captured by @actionhiro wearing @alo.yoga

Making the most of 5 am wake up calls 👻I'm a hustler and when I'm in work-mode, I like to get things done as efficiently and as fast as possible. But in doing so, I've found that sometimes I miss out on those fun spontaneous moments that just happen. Like this one ⬆️ This happened because @virginie.duval came to visit me in Thailand and was helping @drishti.studio behind the scenes. She was cracking me up with her jokes and I said "jump in". She did and look 👁‍🗨 Look at how much fun I'm having!! This is a Bri that I don't normally show in pictures but it's just as much part of me as yogini Bri. If you're like me and you're all work, remember to play. Let life happen to you, it has a funny way of giving you exactly what you need when you need it the most. Work will still get done and you'll be much happier 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Captured by @drishti_studio in beautiful Thailand @thailandinsider wearing @alo.yoga with the lovely @virginie.duval

If you're looking to gain strength in your body, then crow is your new go-to pose 💪It's definitely a favorite in my @alo.moves Yoga Tone Up series since this foundational arm balance by itself is an amazing full-body workout. Crow pose works your arms and core muscles and strengthens your wrists, upper back, and legs. It also helps you improve balance and coordination, which is why it's a great prep for advanced arm balances and transitions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you're looking to lift the energy in your crow (and avoid bruises on the back of your arms): 👉get your knees high up on the triceps 👉lean forward spreading your shoulder blades wide 👉point the toes and pull the heels up towards the glutes to find hamstring engagement ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ready to try it? Head over to @alo.moves and check out Yoga Tone Up, where we'll work through postures (including crow!) that build strength, endurance, and stability and will help you build a deeper connection to your muscles and their functions 🆙

Learn yoga in ONE minute ⏱Tap here to get started👆This idea popped into my head last year and what was initially an experiment, has become a full-fledged multi-pose series 💪And I'm so happy about it! I'm a fan of insta-tutorials (there are SO many great insta-teachers out there) because I think that they are a great educational tool. We yogis learn through our sight: we see a pose and then we repeat it from memory. But what if your memory fails or you're having trouble with the cues? Having graphic representations of both the cues and movements have been a great way to help you understand what you're supposed to be feeling and engaging in specific poses. So I'll keep the videos coming!! I have so many great ideas on what series should come next, but I want to hear what YOU have to say 🗯Leave a comment below and tell me your ideas please! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉Btw, it's super-helpful for me to know what you like when planning what content to create for you. We're making Unicorn #Yoga happen right @yogabeyond?? 🦄Claudine, Honza and I spend most of our summer days busy teaching at our #yogateachertraining, so on our day off we like to unwind and have fun with our kids. Brunch is a must for us and it so happens that while Claudine and I were busy enjoying delicious french toast, Honza was off enjoying his morning coffee with a new pal 😂We've been debating whether unicorn floaties have room in the yoga shala ever since and so far, YES has the winning vote (courtesy of our kiddos @sofiephoenix @sydthekid and @taylorchanarat). What do you think?? Should we make it happen?? 🦄🦄🦄🦄 #unicornyoga ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is one of my favorite moments from this summer and I'm so happy @drishti.studio captured it, thank you Vicky for snapping fast!!! Keep swiping, you don't want to miss the last pic 📸 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #friendships #travelingyogi #yogafam #sundayfunday #floaties #instapic #instafam

If you want to FEEL the press, do this 👆 Pressing into an inversion is a wonderful way to eliminate momentum and slowly come into it, which helps a lot with fear. To feel the press for the first time, I love to use headstand and blocks. Ready to feel that lift??? Let me know below if this helped!
