Not a burpee fan? Me neither!. - I have an alternative to share! These are a mix of plyo, stretch/mobility, and Yoga with long holds in a lunge and a Yogi squat (hips low, chest up). I give a brief how-to mid video and the full clip can be seen at Facebook/MindyIrish!. - We often talk about our lifting PRs, but we can’t bend over to tie our shoes without pulling a muscle or we have limited mobility for even simple tasks. This movement sequence will challenge and improve all that when your body’s ready. - Aging well involves working on those aspects sooner rather than later. My heart was racing and my breath was getting shallower. I was lightheaded, and my legs felt HEAVY. My muscles were screaming for oxygen and the only thing I could do was take frequent breaks. My husband and I are avid, experienced hikers and I like to consider myself physically fit. However, this time was different. At first, this physical struggle was extremely frustrating, borderline annoying. But everytime I stopped to catch my breath, it forced me to take the time to look around and truly enjoy the beauty surrounding me. Not only did it ease my feelings of frustration, but also helped to create a humbling experience. One of the reasons I love to travel is because I always come home with an enlightened perspective. Taking a step back and realizing how small and insignificant you are in the greater scheme of things is actually quite comforting and grounding. Universe-1, Lisa-0. . . My.Musing....Excerpts from me, myself and I bladder muscle diary . . Travel back with me to 2013. Not where you were, but where I was. I wrote my list of top 3 symptoms from multiple sclerosis and my weak bladder muscle secured the #3 spot. . . I had zero brain to muscle connection to allow me to hold my pee and make it to the bathroom. It’s much better now but I am mindful of my bladder 101 road code. Here are a few codes from bladder 11: 1. Always scope out where the bathroom is 4. Every second counts. Do I need to unzip? Is the toilet seat open? Timing is e’ryting 5. Keep my nails short. Ufff do you know how many times I’ve scraped myself with my nails while doing the dance to pull down my underwear?! . . . 8. Always have a backup plan just in case abort mission to the preferred pee location is needed (yes @willsmith pee in the car is always a backup🤣🤣) . . . 9. Be prepared to squat. Scope out a spot . 11. The person I’m with must be comfortable with said squat position. This is a pretty serious vulnerable moment....Will they have my back, will they hold the cup or will they be embarrassed and want to be far away as possible? . . . I had to work my way to feeling comfortable and vulnerable knowing that this issue was one that truly caused me lots of crying moments. Now I laugh and say ahhh bwoy while continuing with wherever the road takes me. .

Allow your head to drop onto a bolster or cushion to curve the spine and release tension between the vertebrae. Yogi Leg Day Let's get our burn on the yogi way. 6 moves 3 rounds total Do each move for 30 second rest 30 then do the other leg (if it's a single leg movement). Then on to next movement. Repeating all 6 moves 3 times. Sliding Yogi Squat - place one knee behind the other and slide the knee down the calf. If you need to tap the toe that's fine. Rocking Lightening Bolt - Get into a long lightening bolt lunge (think high crescent with arms at ears leaning forward). Then rock forward so that you come onto your back tip toes. Keep your core engaged. This one is deceiving. Warrior 3 Squat - Get into your strong Warrior 3, then start to lower on one leg. Place hands in whatever position is best for you. SWIPE here to second video -> Goddess Heel Lifts - Lower into a deep Goddess Squat, raise the heels. Burn Burn Burn. Front Back Curls - Raise one leg straight in front of you, do a quad curl, transition leg to behind you and do a hamstring curl. Place hands on hips or at heart center. Yogi Squat Extensions - Get down into a low Malasana Squat keeping hands on the ground between feet raise your booty high up in the air and straighten legs as much as possible. ENJOY!
