Miss the sun ☀️ and the ocean 🌊 and not feeling like I’m spending all my waking hours during the night freezing my butt off. 🦉❄️ It’s getting dark so early in Berlin now (like at 4pm) and all I wanna do is eat nourishing food and cuddle up in a blanket and chill on the couch with a good book or movie🍿📚. . . . Pre-Christmas time can be so stressful with all the preparations for X-Mas dinners and parties and all the presents 🎁 to buy so I find it extra important to remind myself that it’s 100% okay 👌🏼 to take some time for myself to do just what I want to do without fulfilling expectations of anyone else or answering phone calls or messages ❌☎️📱What do you do to make sure you don’t go crazy? 🤪 . . . Today we’ll release our chest, pecs, and fronts of our shoulders, because so many of us are really getting STUCK in bad postures and ending up in lots of PAIN!!! 🔥😫🔥 Your muscles begin to adapt to the positions you mostly stay in, i.e. slouching! so take care of your body and MOVE throughout your day to reverse the negative effects of sitting and slouching. 🙌🏽⚡️ After work, or during your work day if you can, find a few moments to do these two stretches. You’re worth taking 2 minutes of YOUR day to heal pain and improve your posture. 💪🏼 invite your coworkers to do it with you! It’ll be fun :) Overtime, doing this a few minutes each day will drastically change you from someone who experiences a lot of discomfort and fatigue to someone who is proactive, energized, and pain free! 👩🏼‍💻. .... Stretch 1️⃣: 🔸 Start in downward dog and slowly lower yourself down to the floor. Place elbows under shoulders, forearms parallel to one another. 🔸 Lengthen neck by drawing shoulders do your back. 🔸 Pull belly button to spine, and allow your hips and legs to relax behind you. 🔹 Breathe deeply and completely here for 1-2 minutes. .. Considering 3 types of truth. One of them I’d personally, prefer society have at its core. 1️⃣ OBJECTIVE TRUTH - it’s been tested by many scientists, in various conditions, independently, over period of time and there is evidence the ‘truth’ stays consistent. It is true whether you believe it or not and exists outside your mental state. e.g. if you drop your phone, a force, we call gravity, will make it fall to the floor 2️⃣ PERSONAL TRUTH - essentially a belief or a faith, in that the person that holds it believes it to be a truth, but for which there is no evidence e.g. a god exists and they will punish you if you do x,y,z. Very hard to convince someone of your personal truth without force, coercion or incentive 3️⃣ POLITICAL TRUTH - something that is said repeatedly, over and over, so much so that we come to believe it to be truth, even though it isn’t. 💫 inspired by @neildegrassetyson

There is so much to learn, so many lessons to be realised and for me this time it has definitely been holding myself accountable, gaining my own trust by showing up for myself every moment. Only when we truly experience self mastery we can be of service, when our actions come from a place of love, compassion and trust, only then we will be liberated from the need of being validated, the need to look for love and fulfilment outside of our own heart. The wonderful thing about Yoga is being able to teach & share it to EVERYONE. I led a yoga practice for martial arts at @legacygymboracay focusing on flexibility, & mobility. We did a lot of hip openers, joint stretches, chest & shoulder openers and strengthening the spine. Video: legs variation . 🔼 PRASARITA 🔼 . - From tadasana open your legs 5 feet distance 👣 Keep feet parallel or slightly pointing inward. - With exhalation forward fold with long spine (micro bend your knees to protect your hamstrings). - Hands in line with heels. With exhalation enter deep into the pose bending elbows and straightening your legs. . 🔴TRIPOD POSE🔴 - ⚠️ ONLY if your head touch the floor. If you are almost there but not touching you can open a little bit more your legs to reach the floor. - TOP of the head on the floor to not hurt your neck. - Elbows bent in 90 degrees angle (chaturanga arms) and pointing backwards (elbows closed shoulders distance). - Hips over shoulders. - Legs activated all the time. - ❗BREATH: INHALE, activate bandhas and press firmly hands toward the floor (almost all the weight is in your arms; not on your head). Slowly lift your legs opened until half way (legs parallel to floor). EXHALE, rise your legs while closing them. INHALE, slowly down your legs while opening until halfway. EXHALE, down legs and softly land your feet at the starting position. - Don't look for a straight line feet-hips-shoulders. Nadi Śodhana 🌬 Alternate nostril breathing. Cleansing the energy channels and allowing Prāna (energy) to flow freely and in greater amounts throughout the body. Simultaneously calming your nervous system and giving you an energy boost. #yesplease . . . Start by inhaling through both nostrils, then closing the left nostril and exhaling through the right. 🌼 Inhale through the right nostril, cover the right and exhale through the left. 🌼 Inhale through the left, cover the left and exhale through the right. 🌼 Discontinue the practice if your nose becomes blocked or you start to feel tightness or dizziness. You shouldn’t need to force the air. Sometimes visualising your breath moving in this cycle is enough. 🙏🏼
