Any of the stages for going into Galavasana can be considered a pose per se. Sometimes our minds like to make stories about ourselves within poses, particularly in the ones that present a challenge for us. Stories that can be telling us things like: “I’m never going to be able to do this, I’m terrible at this” or maybe on the other end, “I’m so good, I got this pose.” Either way, it’s our mind playing tricks on us to disconnect us from ourselves within the experience of the pose, whichever the physical outcome may be. There are poses I can do, and then there are some I can’t. Yoga teaches me to observe my mind and become aware of: ‘what are the stories that my mind tends to make to disconnect me from myself and from what I’m experiencing in the moment?’ ———————————— Es una postura en sí misma cualquiera de las etapas para llegar a la postura de Galavasana. A veces a nuestras mentes les gusta crear historias al practicar posturas que nos retan. En vez de concentrarnos en la postura, nos puede estar diciendo cosas como: “Nunca me va a salir esta postura, no la hago,” o por el contrario “Que bien me sale”. De cualquier manera, es un poco como si nuestra mente quisiera desconectarnos de nosotros mismos y de la experiencia inmediata que estamos viviendo. Hay posturas que puedo hacer, y también hay posturas que no puedo hacer. El yoga me enseña a observar mi mente: “¿Cuáles son las historias que tiende a crear para desconectarme de mí misma y de la experiencia que estoy viviendo?”

I know that some of you take 4 to 7 years to get a straight pincha with pike press . omg, this info actually doesn't motivate me to learn it..feel like wanna give up..as I am still very very beginner, it is a long journey for me, it really needs lots of dedication and practice . Something to play with: . From mountain pose, mindfully drag one foot behind you as you gradually tilt forward. Keep those toes on the ground, or lift them away. . Engage both legs and keep extending from the crown of your head, bringing awareness to your breath. . Keep floaty toes dialed down towards the floor, and keep that entire foot activated as if you're standing on something. . Play with your arm expressions. 💖 . Exit the pose as mindfully and controlled as possible, as you keep your core engaged. . Repeat on the other side, respecting if it needs to be different. . And maybe you have a little fun... It's your practice! 😊 Always move in ways that are best for *you.* 💕 . . . These poses all look very similar but with important differences! This video highlights the main ones, but here are some written tips! 🔆High Lunge: focuses on stretching and strengthening the inner thighs. The back knee is pointing toward the ground with the heel spiked to the sky, arms overhead facing each other. Keep your core zipped up and your hips squared off. 🔆Warrior 1: (not a favorite of mine tbh😆) focuses more on the strength in the back leg and can be a pretty intense calf stretch. The back foot is at a 45 degree angle and the back knee is facing slightly outward. The arms are extended overhead with palms together. The front knee might not be as bent here as the other two poses. 🔆Warrior 2: focuses on strength and endurance- the most powerful and steady of the three. Both feet should be placed firmly on the ground with the arch of the back foot in line with the front heel. The legs can be placed as far or close together as is comfortable. The torso faces the side, squaring the hips while the arms spread out to a T and the gaze looking out toward the front hand. Hope that helps!
