REPOST from @nowheylady GOOOOOD MORNING 🌞 from us to you 💁🏼‍♀️🐶 kicking off our day with lots of love and energetic snuggles (honestly more effective than coffee at this point in YTT). I knew yoga teacher training was going to be a lot but didn’t realize how draining it would be mentally + spiritually n addition to the physicality aspect. Everyday my mind opens up a little bit to see thing from a different perspective, gain a better understanding of where my body is in space, and where my mind is running off to when I don’t particularly feel like being in the here and now (spoiler alert, you probably do this without realizing it — I know I did). . . . Over the past week and a half I’ve been brain dumping my new thoughts // feelings // and emotions that rise up in my column “NWL takes YTT” (direct link in bio). This semi-forced braindump has reignited my love of writing as an emotional release and I’m excited to jump back into it (ICYMI there’s a new post on NWL + relationships, too). What’s your preferred method of release? Running? Yoga? Writing? Screaming? Dancing? They’re all fair game! In other news. This lady 🙋🏼‍♀️ is heading to kundalini for the first time in 2 weeks tonight and is OH SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. . . . HAPPY WEDNESDAY FRIENDS! XO #nowheylady

Meet your teacher training team! ˙ Keira Cristobal ˙ Keira has been teaching yoga since 2006; she began her practice for physical reasons and was quickly hooked for the positive ways it impacted her mental and emotional well-being. She is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), under the International Association of Yoga Therapists; she received her 300 hour yoga therapy training through Integrative Yoga Therapy, at Kripalu, in MA, her 200 hour Hatha teacher training through the Yoga Pod, in Boulder, CO, and began her yoga journey with traditional Hot, or Bikram yoga teacher training, in Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, she holds special certificates in Kids Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. Keira is also a Registered Dance-Movement Therapist (R-DMT), and Registered Psychotherapist; she holds a dual masters degree in Body Psychotherapy and Dance-Movement Therapy from Naropa University, and has a private practice in Broomfield, CO, where she specializes in work with children and teens. She certified as a Massage Therapist in 2008, and understands the healing power of touch. Keira believes there is an incredible amount of untapped wisdom in the body, just waiting to be explored! A day of gratitude to our teachers, those who share their wisdom and guide whilst expecting nothing in return. I wish I could have been at the @sivanandayogaranch today to have taken part in the #gurupurnima puja alongside my teachers, to be able to be there for such a special #puja and to sit and listen to the words they share and experience the feeling of peace that engulfs you while there for such a deep spiritual practice, but I will make it back there at some time for Guru Purnima in the coming years. So today I will say thank you from afar.
