the one thing that jiu-jitsu reminded me of is that things will get better if you put in the work. results will not come over night but YOU need to get up and work for it. there are no shortcuts, only practice and putting in the hours. ' this is not only the case for jiu-jitsu but for anything that you do. you want to learn something new or create change? YOU need to get up and get it done. a little bit every day and after a few years you look back and you realize how much your life and how much you have changed by practicing patience and consistency. My heart has been broken SO many times I’ve stopped wondering if I could pick up the pieces because I know I can. It doesn’t take away the sting of betrayal, the neglect from a loved one or abuse from a lover. The truth is that hurt people hurt people and sometimes when you’re shining your light bright it burns the ego of those closest to you. They are hurt and uncomfortable but they don’t know why. The very sight of you reminds them that they could be doing better so they will lash out verbally, talk about you behind your back, accuse you of hurting them by being your best self or even completely avoid you. This is hard, but don’t take it personally. Just let go and find your peace within. Continue to follow your souls calling. Been diving deep into the leadership program I’m in and it’s been coming full force how much accountability is so integral to actually making change. I spoke to clarity in the vision of our ideal lives in yesterday’s post and today as I was journaling I was feeling all the things: fear of truly stepping out of the comfort zone. Fear of not really knowing who I’ll be outside of what I’ve known of myself. And gratitude for the support and accountability held by the coaches to constantly step forth and commit to change. It’s a process and the fears are always there for now, but I’m just really grateful today. What are you grateful for today? #fight for your #life #bethechange #alwaysforward

Now I recommend you warm up your shoulders first then do these. Watch video: Stand firmly with good posture. In each movement/pose, keep ribs flat, widen shoulders and collar bones, head up. Extend arms up and cross to bring palms together. Bend one arm elbow up, palm to upper back, open chest pushing arms back, repeat other side. Grab elbows bring arms up and open chest. Finally do the eagle pose, push arms away from body. Start again from the top! Day 1 I am sharing my journey of yoga teacher training here for the yogis who want to go through the same path in the future. I start the 200 hour Hatha YTT in mysore today. First class started in the morning 6:30 and it was Asana practice, then pranayama practice for 45 minutes. and then we have breakfast. After breakfast Methodology of Hatha yoga until around 1:30. Then there is fruit and herbal tea time. and we have rest and study time until 4:30. 4:30 methodology of Hatha yoga starts until 6 and then meditation until 7. 7:30 dinner is served and we can have the rest of the evening for ourselves. day by day other classes like Ayurveda and philosophy will be added to the schedule. for upcoming days I will share the experience of each class.
