Om, here is a technique tip for drop-backs with arms down instead of overhead. If you initiate a drop-back with arms over the head it reduces curvature in upper spine and increases hyperextension in the lower back. Overtime this can wear out the S.I. Joint and the wrists if dropping onto the hands. Do perform them safely - start in tadasana - squeeze into the midline, engage lower bandhas - lengthen side bodies - AND THEN reach the arms down for your knee pits while extending the hips forward. When the figertps touch the knee pits then reach thru the fingertips to straighten the arms. Bend knees deep -extending them forward - outer rotate arms overhead and reach for the ground. The first prop I ever used, a single Nunchaku, built a hardwood set years and years ago for my brother, and after giving them a good swing, and cracking my elbow a few times, I knew I was into this, made my own first pair, then years later I must have made nearly 100’s of pairs, all out in the world cracking elbows and bringing joy. DAY 2 - base pose is #HighLunge and we are twisting a little, balancing on one leg, squatting, being Goddesses, Backbending, forward folding, side stretching... Wonderful mix of everything body needs in the morning to wake up! . . I realised I did my first flow with side bend with legs together, so I did it again to look a little more like Azures (slide 2) 🌺 . . .
