Make more natural deodorant (I’m running out, and it’s very necessary) 2. Find an accountant in Dallas (if y’all know any, send them my way plz!) 3. Make more essential oil blends (for holiday presents, and because they smell + feel amazing 😊) 4. Start writing ✍️ another huge project (launching early 2019 😉) 5. Do all the yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ 6. I just want you all to know that the proceeds from the book are going to 2 wonderful charities that im fortunate to be a part of, one being Wonder Years in the Gambia where you can find more information about the wonderful work that is done and you can see exactly how you are helping at www.wyce.org.uk where 1 copy of the book feeds 40 school children for the full day. I can do it but my back still isn't very straight 🙈💪🏻.try it - Teacher: @miss_sunitha ・・・ Leg Behind Head is a pose that can take a while to figure out. Although it requires deep external rotation of the hips, it needs to be paired with hip stability and core awareness to do this pose safely. . I’ve included some useful prep poses, and you may notice some repetitive cues. It’s important to keep the awareness in equal parts flexibility and strength. . 1️⃣ External Hip Rotation Obviously there would be external hip rotation in this pose, but when we work on externally rotating one hip, be mindful of the other hip as well. As much as possible, try keeping the hips squared. You can do that by hugging the outer hips in. . 2️⃣ Hip Stability This is an important part of the pose that often gets forgotten. Every opening should be equally supported with stability. In all the poses here, even though the hip is rotating outwards, that outward rotation is supported by the outer hip/thigh pressing inwards. So in poses like lizard, side angle, marichyasana A, happy baby, etc., keep the awareness on the big toe mount of the foot by pressing it down (or up in happy baby) to create that slight inward rotation in the outer hip/thigh. . 3️⃣ Core! This pose is essentially a hip opener and a deep forward fold. The forward fold is deep enough that the spine would round a little to support the external rotation. To keep the lower back safe, the core needs to be active (mula bandha). In all deep forward bends, there should be a slight scoop in the lower belly (the space between the belly button and the pubic bone), almost as if you’re trying to bring your tail (if you had one!) between the legs. It’s this strong support in the core that not only keep the spine safe, but can also deepen the fold. . Lastly, although this pose is named ‘Leg Behind Head’, we’re actually trying to get the thigh behind the shoulder! If the foot is pressing into the head, it can create a lot of pressure on the neck and overall spine. So keep the hand supporting the foot, and work on rotating the top thigh back until the thigh can rest behind the shoulder. . Above all, be safe and listen to the body

Save this quick yoga flow so you can practice on your own! . 🔥WARM UP🔥 • COBBLER FOLD • SEATED TWIST ☝🏼During my warm up I like to stretch the spine, hips & legs. You can do any poses you like here! . ⭐️FLOW⭐️ • WARRIOR 2 • REVERSE WARRIOR • TRIANGLE • SIDE ANGLE • REPEAT ON OTHER SIDE ☝🏼For a slower, deeper practice, hold each pose for 5-10 breaths. For a quicker practice, hold each pose for 1-5 breaths. Repeat the flow 1-3 times on each side. Today I am experiencing one of those days when everything goes wrong. Every situation adds more stress and it becomes hard to calm down. To match my mood the weather is super gloomy. It’s only 4:40pm. I’m teaching later at 6:30. I will be hopeful that the day will end up better than it started and maybe change the way I look at today. Keep cool. Let it go. It will pass. ❤️

A as Activist. We’re standing up for children’s rights. Kids need a house, a place to sleep, nutritious food to eat, clothes to wear, and toys to play with. Kids also need someone who will take them to the doctor and dentist, make sure they get a bath, and get them up in the morning so they get to school. And just as important, kids need someone who loves them and does not hurt or abuse them. Most of the time, kids live in homes where they are loved and get all the important things they need. But if a kid's mom or dad can't provide proper care or is hurting or abusing the kid, the state needs to step in and place the child in another home. Maison Dolto Children's Home in LUXEMBOURG hosts a total of 19 children from 0 to 3 years old, who live at the home full time. Please help us support Maison Dolto taking one of our Christmas Ornament at our studio: each ornament contains the name and age of a child in Maison Dolto. You can support these special children donating 15€. This year we would like to support a special project in buying solid and durable material. The educational groups are developing a specific pedagogical approach and for that project they would love to create a space for role playing game, so important for small kids in that age. “With nothing to compare yourself to, aren’t you perfect?” ~Byron Katie Most of us grew up hearing constant comparisons, which turned into a habit during our adult lives: “Do I look better than her? I want to be slimmer.” “How much is he earning? I want more.” “Where does she live? I want a house at least that size.” Our society often encourages competition. There are some circumstances when we have no choice but to compete—when applying for a new position at work or attending job interviews, for example. However, there are situations when we make the rules, and the choice is entirely up to us. We can live our own lives and mind our own journey, or we can choose to compete with others over who’s more attractive, wealthier, happier, or more successful. Perfection is nothing but pure fiction, an illusion created by our minds. It’s also a learned practice. Most of us were raised to constantly strive to become better people—to focus on our flaws and perceived limitations—and we either take our strengths for granted or aren’t even aware of them. While we are all learning from our experiences and mistakes, we also need to be aware of our gifts and talents. Downward Dog. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ask anyone if they know a yoga pose and even if they've never done it before they'll probably know Downward Dog. It's *that* pose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So you probably think it's definitely a beginners pose and super easy to do but it's really not. I still look at this photo and see things that could have more space inside them and I've been practicing for 6 years now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Find patience in your practice. Don't look at a photo and think that is the perfect version, I know I'm guilty of that. Try not to do the same thing in class also. So long as you're feeling the feels then it's all good.
