It’s still an infected open wound so I’m trying to be careful (lifting my toe/walking like a penguin at the beach to avoid sand and dirty water), but things are slowly getting better. #Repost @irumzkhan ・・・ Kurmasana, one of the poses I'm extremely terrified of. After years of coping with various shoulder injuries, I finally feel stronger and healthier in my body. But this pose makes me feel like my shoulder will just pop out and I'll be back to where I was a decade ago. It made me realise the strength of my mind. The fear increased the tension and caused pain, making the pose a nightmare. But as I gradually let go, trusting the process, stretching with ease and not fear, it made more sense. My pose is far from perfect, and I'm ok with that. It's the best that I can do for now and I'm ok with that. A as Activist. We’re standing up for children’s rights. Kids need a house, a place to sleep, nutritious food to eat, clothes to wear, and toys to play with. Kids also need someone who will take them to the doctor and dentist, make sure they get a bath, and get them up in the morning so they get to school. And just as important, kids need someone who loves them and does not hurt or abuse them. Most of the time, kids live in homes where they are loved and get all the important things they need. But if a kid's mom or dad can't provide proper care or is hurting or abusing the kid, the state needs to step in and place the child in another home. Maison Dolto Children's Home in LUXEMBOURG hosts a total of 19 children from 0 to 3 years old, who live at the home full time. Please help us support Maison Dolto taking one of our Christmas Ornament at our studio: each ornament contains the name and age of a child in Maison Dolto. You can support these special children donating 15€. This year we would like to support a special project in buying solid and durable material. The educational groups are developing a specific pedagogical approach and for that project they would love to create a space for role playing game, so important for small kids in that age. “With nothing to compare yourself to, aren’t you perfect?” ~Byron Katie Most of us grew up hearing constant comparisons, which turned into a habit during our adult lives: “Do I look better than her? I want to be slimmer.” “How much is he earning? I want more.” “Where does she live? I want a house at least that size.” Our society often encourages competition. There are some circumstances when we have no choice but to compete—when applying for a new position at work or attending job interviews, for example. However, there are situations when we make the rules, and the choice is entirely up to us. We can live our own lives and mind our own journey, or we can choose to compete with others over who’s more attractive, wealthier, happier, or more successful. Perfection is nothing but pure fiction, an illusion created by our minds. It’s also a learned practice. Most of us were raised to constantly strive to become better people—to focus on our flaws and perceived limitations—and we either take our strengths for granted or aren’t even aware of them. While we are all learning from our experiences and mistakes, we also need to be aware of our gifts and talents.
