It’s not all bath bombs and massages over here & I’m not always taking the best care of myself like it may seem. Honestly, I’ve had a very draining past 6 months navigating the ups & downs of being deeply rooted in a small business while also maintaining relationships that are intricately woven into it. I’ve questioned myself more than I’ve believed in myself. I’ve felt alone more often than I’ve felt included. I’ve spent more time trying to find myself than trying to take action. . I’m a water sign, a Pisces at that, and I tend to live in a dreamy world of possibilities, drifting between thoughts, floating between bliss and misery. I’m a wildly unpredictable human and also live deeply in my mental stream of consciousness. It’s exhausting to not ever feel certain, to not ever stick to the plan, to always seek truth in multiple places. It’s debilitating to be highly emotional and to feel EVERYTHING. I’m easily distracted and my decision making / path to the answer is far from linear. . To the outside world I may seem inconsistent, never sure which Aly they are standing in front of or what’s going on in my head. Yet, at the same time, my MANY moods are easily read on my face. If only people knew how deeply sensitive I am. How worried I am about what they think of me & how badly I want to be accepted. . I’m writing this because lately I’ve felt like a fraud. I want to talk about real stuff like mental health & behavioral issues because even at 31, I am still learning how to tame the wild-child inside me. I want you to know that even I don’t have it all figured out. . So, instead of always hiding behind vapid posts or forcing myself to find inspiring things to say all the time, I want to share how I’m putting in the work to get my feet back underneath me. I want to help you if you are also struggling with your path, to show you ways to ground yourself so that when things do change or happen unexpectedly, you don’t experience as severe of breakdowns that I have been dealing with lately. . It takes work, a lot of work, but I’m happy to share what that looks like for me so that you may take it and make it your own.

Happy Saturday earthlings 👽🌎 I walked into the studio this morning and our teacher asked us to get 6 blocks. I’m thinking what the heck are we going to do with 6 blocks?!?!?! Welp, it felt so yummy to invert with my neck feeling freeeeeeee! 🦄 We chanted my favorite mantra “lokah samastah sukino bavantu” and got upside down a bunch. My type of yoga! Thanks for teaching a rad class this morning @jamunayogadtla 🙏🏼 Reminder I’m teaching at @theyogaharbor Friday’s at 6 pm and Sundays at 4:30 pm! ☀️ Come by & check it out!
