Yoga, much like life, is a balance of holding on and letting go. Sometimes, we are thrown into the pits of darkness and we have to find our way out of it. But, remembering to breathe through the hard parts and asking ourselves what it is we fear that keeps us holding on, will help us see the light again. We have to find our contentment - let things come and go as they please, for what stays, was meant for you. And sometimes, not everything or everyone will continue on with the rest of your journey in this life, but they certainly crossed your path for a reason, wether it was a blessing or a lesson or both. Start where you are, start with what you have. Accept your present state as though you chose it, for that is when you can truly work with it. Our past doesn't have to determine where we are headed. Any day, any moment, we have the ability to completely drop what we are doing and head another direction. Never let your circumstances make you live in a victim mindset -accepting responsibility for your life, your actions, your reactions.. life isn't happening to you, it's responding to your vibrations. Open your eyes, open your mind and open your heart. Hold on to strength, let go of what no longer serves you or adds value to your life. &Be the love you wish to feel. ❤ #amyskinneryoga

I kind of wish I would've taken videos of my balance when I started yoga. I took photos so I can see the progress of my flexibility but I don't think I have any videos to see the progress of my balance, because when I started yoga 'boat pose' definitely didn't go as smooth as in the video.😄 #boatpose #navasana

Thank you to everyone who took the time out to show me a little birthday love yesterday! This is what 34 feels like so far - fun, sassy, flowy, distinct, self-assured, artistic, and of course a little messy. I’ve never had such a huge internal shift on my birthday before, going from very confused and hurting to feeling like I’m ready for anything. I’m in the midst of a much-needed timeout from work, and allowing myself to just be, flowing wherever I choose whenever I choose. So many boundaries have been set over the past seven months with people, especially those not willing to honour my worth, both in my personal and professional life. It’s been a big overhaul, but I’m so feeling the necessity of it today! Here’s a few little pearls of wisdom I’ll share with you all: • just because there’s love on a relationship, doesn’t mean it’s a healthy relationship (this includes friends and family) • if you’re always the one making plans with someone, step back. Give them the opportunity to step up or step out. It will do wonders for their self confidence if they step up and balance out the relationship • when you hear people speak with prejudice, CALL THEM OUT! A simple “that’s not cool to say” is all it takes • when working in the wellness industry, it’s easy to get taken advantage of. Set work hours (including online work) and set a dollar value for your work that you feel is worth your skill set and time. DO NOT blur the lines of those boundaries. Give people the opportunity to invest in themselves and their overall wellness. Freebies are nice, but they rarely help people long term • entrepreneurs - don’t tout your products/services. Share the journey - your’s and your clients’. Also, don’t compete, there’s room for everyone, and we all vibe with different people • be unapologetically you, EVERY FUCKING DAY! You may lose people, and that’s ok, because they were loving someone you weren’t. Those who love the real you WANT the real you. • let life get messy - your mind, your heart, your relationships, your work, your home. It’s in the mess that you’ll find the answers • lastly, have a beautiful fucking day (and say fuck more, it’s good for the soul) 💥 #34
