Bine te-am găsit în Ziua 8 a provocării de Recunoștință. Astăzi challenge-ul este să să fim recunoscători pentru Hrana Magică Datând din perioada Egiptului Antic , recunoștința pentru hrană înainte de a lua masa reprezintă o tradiție de mii de ani care din nefericire a fost uitată în zilele noastre. Oamenii credeau că prin binecuvântarea apei și a hranei cu recunoștință acestea deveneau mai pure și ne influențau starea de sănătate. Descoperirile fizicii cuantice confirmă efectele recunoștinței. Știința a demonstrat că observatorul  influențează realitatea observată . Altfel spus focalizarea recunoștinței asupra hranei și a apei, modifică structura moleculară și energetică a acestora  ele devenind mai pure și astfel influențează bunăstarea ta fizică, mentală și emoțională. Reamintește-ți  că mâncarea și apa sunt daruri ale naturii, că fără ele viața ta nu ar mai fi. Te invit că începând de azi  înainte de a mânca sau a bea ceva să privești  alimentul sau băutura din față ta și să rosteșți cu voce sau în sinea ta MULȚUMESC. Dacă doreșți  poți presara peste ele praf magic, printr-un gest simbolic. Pentru a-ţi amplifica această stare de recunoștință, gândește-te puțin și  la toți oamenii care au contribuit la masa ta actuală chiar dacă îi cunoșți sau nu și rostește și pentru ei  MULȚUMESC. Chiar dacă ți se va mai întâmpla uneori să uiți să spui cuvântul magic “mulțumesc” înainte de a bea sau mânca ceva , de îndată ce îți aduci aminte, închide ochii, întoarce-te mental la momentul începerii mesei și rostește cuvântul de recunoștință. We move out officially Thursday, we’re all busy during the week so started moving yesterday and lots more to do today. Yesterday we took apart our beds so to sleep on last night we only had mattresses, which was surprisingly really nice 🙈. I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning because I knew it was the last time in bed in this house. I kept looking up at the light above me and around, not wanting to move :(. But I needed a green tea, so here I am almost 28 years of living here having my last morning tea :( of course with Charlie and Henri beside me. Henri’s Head is starring into the biscuit tin 🙈. I’ve just had to stop to give him a biscuit. We won’t be woken up by his snores as he’s going to stay with Mum. :(. Obviously I’ll be seeing him daily to walk and water him while mums at work, & you’ll see lots of him on my stories 🙊🐾. So here’s to our last few hours left at 2 Westwood :(. Thank you house for all the parties and friends and happiness you’ve given us. I wish the new people will love this house even half as much as I do. Thanks for reading 😢. 2020 will officially be a year of self employment ✨ . I gave my last day to a job I’ve held for the last two and a half years. It’s a little bittersweet as there’s so much I’ve loved about where I work. Still, I knew staying wasn’t an end goal for me. . I kept putting off leaving for a really long time, waiting until I felt “ready.” Quite frankly I don’t think I ever would have felt ready. Taking a step forward into something new can be both exciting and uncomfortable, but the comfort I can envision for myself by doing so is far better than the feeling of staying where I am. . I’m sad to go but I’m beyond grateful to have more time to pour into my creative projects, and online work. . Personal Practice versus Group Classes. . . . Why do people look around in a yoga class? Comparison. Validation. Or just plain confusion, like 'Is this instructor REALLY asking us to do this? Like, for real?'. . . . I have fallen in love with practising by myself in my room, with very little light (I practice in the evenings, because while I'm a morning person, my body really isn't 😂). . . . That isn't to say that anybody who likes practising in a group class is doing it wrong. But the point of Asana practice is to understand YOUR body. Not the body of the person next to you. Group classes are AMAZING in terms of energy generated, but they do get a little... competitive or comparison-prone at times. . . . I don't like attending group classes where people know I'm an instructor. It puts a certain amount of pressure on me to do the asanas, you know? Maybe even force my body in the process. That aside, being a yoga student in a class where you completely trust the instructor is a surreal feeling because you have SURRENDERED. My teachers could twist me into a pretzel, and I'd be like okay why not. . . . Moral of the story: whether you do yoga in group classes or personal practice locked up in your room - do it for yourself and no one else. ❤️ . . . Open heart.⁠ ⁠ Fall is always a tough time for me. The seasonal weather affects my mood more than usual. It's a time of transition and I typically don't like change. These periods bring with them a feeling of being unfocused, unsure, and uncertain. ⁠ ⁠ It feels like the last couple of months have been a 'holding'. A shedding. A short life update: American life keeps me very busy and mostly away from the phone. Weather is absolutely gorgeous with clear blue skies and unbelievably fresh air. Floridian scenery and landscape are astoundingly beautiful - here I find my Maldivian bushes, interwoven whimsical palm trees from Mauritius, fury pine trees and flowers of all colors. (I give my own names to all of the plants depending on the location where I saw them for the first time). Driving through downtown of Naples is like being in a botanical garden. I also enjoy looking at multi million dollar mansion that display stunning architecture. American food: like always one has to be careful here. Luckily, in Florida they have many organic markets and healthy food options. Shopping: I’m still struggling on this end as I’m always looking for something unique and interesting at a bargain. 👋 Guten Abend ihr Lieben! ⁠ ⁠ 😄 Na, habt ihr heute schon gelacht? Falls nicht kann ich es euch definitiv empfehlen. Sehr häufig begegnen wir Menschen in unserem Alltag, die ein grimmiges Gesicht haben oder scheinbar schlecht gelaunt sind. Menschen, die einfach nicht lächeln. Dabei ist es so ansteckend und kann eine super Kettenreaktion auslösen. Wie geht ihr durch den Alltag? Habt ihr ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und tragt so euer Licht in die Welt? Oder geht ihr ebenfalls griesgrämig durch euren Alltag. ⁠ Wenn einer von uns anfängt zu lächeln können wir damit schon viele Menschen anstecken und gute Laune verbreiten (besonders bei den trüben Wintertagen zur Zeit). Doch nicht nur Lächeln kann Wunder bewirken, sondern auch Lachen selbst ist Medizin. Das wusste schon Aristoteles als er sagte: ⁠ ⁠ 😊 "Lachen ist eine körperliche Übung von großem Wert für die Gesundheit." ⁠ ⁠ 😂 Beim Lachen werden Glückshormone, sogenannte Endorphine, produziert, die in die Blutbahn gelangen. Als Folge steigt unsere Stimmung und sogar das Immunsystem wird angeregt. Beim Lachen sind zudem über hundert Muskeln beteiligt und der Körper wird bewegt. Die Muskeln entspannen sich und der Kreislauf wird angeregt. Wem gerade spontan nicht zum Lachen zumute ist, dem kann ich Lach-Yoga empfehlen. Der Effekt ist dabei der gleiche. Gearing up for fall with this warm coconut curry veggie soup! Soup was always something I wasn’t sure I could make, but this recipe is so easy to make and extremely versatile! Went to @athensfarmersmarket To get all the veggies for this soup. I picked my favorites, but feel free to swap the veggies for any you would like. • • dEATS: 2 c vegetable broth 1 c coconut milk 1 can of chickpeas 1 small zucchini 1/2 c broccoli 1 red pepper Handful of kale 1/2 c of roasted sweet potato 2 t curry powder 1 t turmeric • In a soup pain sautée 1 T olive oil ( I used @traderjoes ) add minced garlic and brown a bit, add in zucchini, chickpeas, pepper, broccoli and sautée. Once brown add vegetable broth and stir until simmer. Add in coconut milk, let simmer. Add curry powder, turmeric, pink salt and mix. Add in kale and sweet potato, bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
