So I downloaded a couple of apps to help along the way with exercise and mix it up. One being a 30 day plank challenge. I'm only doing beginner's at the moment for both apps, until I feel comfortable with my back and hips. Then I will move on to intermediate. ➡️ Swipe ➡️ Then the 2nd app I downloaded was like a mini bootcamp workout, with Jumpin jacks, high leg raises, skipping rope, cycle legs stand and a few other things. I definitely got a sweat on from doing both. I'm still not able to walk due to my heal. Happy Saturday🥂 I’ve been off the ball for a couple of days now with work stresses and being super busy in general. I’m going to use this weekend to really get back on it and try and get some motivation back. • 🦋 My goals for this weekend 🦋 • 🦋10,000 steps each day. 🦋 Leg session at the gym. 🦋 5K run on Sunday. 🦋 3L water per day. 🦋 Start tracking my calories again. I have two happy places... • Number one is walking along the beach, any beach! All my worries just seem to go on pause when I’m walking along the beach. I find it very relaxing and a great place to get creative with ideas. • Number two (and you’re going to think I’m crazy) is being on a plane with Noise Cancelling Headphones 🎧 as I get to read and do things that I normally don’t get to enjoy during everyday life. • What’s your happy place?

Instead of thinking about some far-off place in your head, full of uncertainty, break it down and start working on something that is really certain. • Choose the direction you want to take and make a start! • So many times, we get caught up in the chaos of daily life and it comsumes us. Realise that while you cannot control what will happen tomorrow, you can control the actions you take today. That’s the real beauty of life, knowing that you have total control over each one of your thoughts and actions. • By making a start, get moving and just trying you are one step further than where you were yesterday. In Day 4 of Barre Blend, I've learned that Elise Joan does not just focus on one area during a workout. Even though, you think she will!! 😂 Today was Core Blend and we still worked the arms, core, booty and legs!!!! My legs are on fire every day! And... my heaviest weights are 3 lbs. I need to get 1 lb and 2 lb weights because I've had to drop them in some moves!!! Barre Blend is low impact but intense and does not require heavy weights. A chair or counter and some 1 lbs weights is all that you need!!

SHARE this because a lot of people need to read this for themselves!💯⁣ ⁣ I need to be fully transparent and give a little bit of tough love today. You can’t expect to achieve your goals without putting in any work to get there. You only get out what you put in, you have to put in hard intentional work. If your only giving half the effort, you will only see that much back in results. Ask yourself whether or not you are the person you want to be or if your even headed in that direction. If the answer is no, what are you going to do to change that? Maybe, to hold yourself accountable, you need to put something on the line! I just did recently, and if I don’t put in the hard work I declared for myself, a big trip I planned to take for my birthday to my #1 bucket list place, and also no pizza for a year…..if I don’t meet the deadline I chose! 😳 ⁣ ⁣ I believe 1,000% that we all have the power within ourselves to change and be whoever we want to be. It’s easy to skip the gym for weeks and just never go back. It’s easy to work jobs you don’t love, because you get comfortable & know all the ins & outs, so why would you leave now? These things are easy and really don’t require much effort on your part. What’s not easy is getting up everyday (or in my case, Monday through Friday) at 4:00 AM to workout at 5:00 AM, because that’s the only time available for myself. What’s not easy is working a full-time job (that I do in fact enjoy), and then coming home after a long hard day to work on my side businesses that I’m passionate about and wanting to help and serve people at the highest level. ⁣ ⁣ You won’t always feel the motivation to push yourself, so your “why” has to be that for you. To be honest, I had to re-evaluate my “why” because I needed to make it bigger to make sure I wasn’t playing easy in life. Excuses are easy to find, but won’t give you the results your looking for. The hustle never stops when you have dreams and goals, we have to push through the resistance and persist, because knowing what we want to be comes down to what we are doing. ⁣ ⁣ Ask yourself, “Are you happy with who you are?”

Pistol squat progress @yourfunctionalbody - Everyone knows the benefits of squatting and you should be doing them....basic functional movements for life longevity. - Single leg squats will build exceptional leg strength and mobility to your lower body and anybody can learn them. - 1- Start on a low platform and slowly rise it as the movements become easier, concentrate on allowing the toe to just touch or hover above the floor and push straight back up. - 2- Work towards getting the heel to just hover above the floor with a straight leg and push straight back up, you will need to lean forward as a counter balance. - 3- start raising the platform so you need drop further into a squat and push back up, repeat the process. - 4- ankle mobility will be key....work it. Different shoes ( flat soles ) or barefoot is ideal.
