Introducing by @downsizing.in.progress : In February I went home to visit and surprised my mom for her 60th birthday. . I knew there were going to be photos taken. I didn't want to be in any but I didn't know when I'd be able to make it home again. it seems as time goes on I get home less and less .So I have lots of pictures...but in every picture of my trip I look absolutley miserable. . I started keto on Feb 8th. I think i look like a completely different person but most importantly im so glad that I don't feel like the same person. . Start right where you are with what you have. A protein. Green veggie and healthy fat. And dont forget your electrolytes .!! You can see the sadness is my eyes. . Right, is me after 64 days of keto. . 25 lb difference. . Beef and broccoli like you’ve never had it! 🥦🥡🥢 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS For the broccoli rice 4 cups broccoli florets about 2 small crowns 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 garlic clove, minced 1 green onion thinly sliced, white and green parts separated For the Sauce ¼ cup hoisin sauce ¼ cup water 1 tablespoons cornstarch 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seed oil 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced For the beef 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain Salt and pepper, to taste INSTRUCTIONS 1. To make the riced broccoli, process the broccoli florets in a blender or food processor until you get a riced texture. Heat a pan with olive oil on medium, add the garlic and the white parts of the green onions and fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add the riced broccoli to the mixture and toss together until the broccoli slightly softens, about 2-4 minutes. Divide the broccoli between 4 bowls and wipe clean the pan with a paper towel 2. To make the sauce, whisk together the ingredients in a small bowl or a small blender. Set aside. 3. To cook the steak, season with salt and pepper. Then heat the pan used for broccoli rice with olive oil on medium-high. Place the steak strips on the pan in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side to brown each steak strip. You many need to cook in batches. Add the sauce to the steak and reduce the heat to low. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, stirring to coat and allowing the sauce to thicken. 4. Recap🤔: Tick-tock...tick-tock; time is definitely winding down. I find it odd that in my mind, weigh-in day has become as stressful as if I were preparing for a final exam. It’s unusual because I am fairly consistent with monitoring my weight daily throughout the month; each morning, and immediately after work I confirm that I have not miraculously gained back the 53 lbs that I worked so hard to lose. Anyhoo, in four more days I close this chapter of my story and begin the next. _ My exercise log🏋🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️:Today's workout was a brisk walk starting at 4:13 pm on this warm Wednesday evening. I maintained a good 3 mph pace for 1 hour and 24 minutes; my average pace was 16’57” per mile. I completed 85 active minutes by walking five miles through my neighborhood. I had 1 minute peak, 10 minutes in the cardio and 73 minutes in the fat burn heart rate zones. During my workout I gained 8,953 steps towards my daily total. At the end of the day, I managed to accumulate 14,361 steps and exceeded my steps per day goal. Today was a good day of my journey. I am looking forward to-day one hundred seventy-eight. I read a post by @kenziebrenna the other day, in which she talked about how Binge Eating Disorder is far more common than Anorexia or Bulimia. Yet it is often not as openly discussed due to the immense amount of shame surrounding it... Case in point — when I was in my twenties and in the throes of a daily binge/restrict/repeat cycle I finally confided in a family member (despite being completely petrified to say anything at all) that I thought I had a problem surrounding food. I eventually said “it would be easier if I was anorexic because at least I would be skinny.” And the person said “yes it would be better.” I know what they meant — it would be easier to be skinny and look like a societal ideal even if that meant engaging in other unhealthy eating behaviours and fit in rather than stand out by being larger in size. Keep in mind at the time I was probably a size 8, which by all reasonable definitions is not “big” at all. This discussion was further evidence to me that my body was wrong, ugly, unworthy. All the feelings that further fuel your disordered eating. I knew what they had meant, but the comment still cut deeply. That feeling of unworthiness, of lesser than, can drive you to hide yourself. To put a physical barrier to protect you from hurt, because when you’ve shown glimpses of yourself to people in the past it was met with pain. In my experience, the only way to heal from any difficult emotion is to go through it. It can’t be dodged or avoided, that only causes further harm. YOU must be the one to accept yourself first and stop seeking validation from others. Once you can start to do that, your own voice will become a little bit louder. Each time you hear someone trying to drag you back down, they won’t be able to pull you as far. Because you are more than your body, you are more than your looks. I would hope you’re so much more interesting than just a hot body or a pretty face. And if someone can’t see past that, no matter who it is, just maybe they’re not the kind of people you need to impress after all. 🖤 #selfhealers

Recipe by delish. com INGREDIENTS 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets 2 eggs 1/4 c. finely grated Parmesan 1 clove garlic, minced 2 c. shredded mozzarella, divided kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper 1/2 c. pizza sauce 1/2 c. pepperoni 1 tbsp. finely sliced basil DIRECTIONS 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 425º and line a baking sheet with parchment. On a box grater or in a food processor, grate cauliflower and transfer to a large bowl. Microwave on high, 8 minutes. Drain thoroughly with paper towels or a cheesecloth until mixture is dry. 2️⃣ Add egg, ½ cup mozzarella, Parmesan and garlic powder to cauliflower bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix until combined. 3️⃣ Form cauliflower into circle shapes on prepared baking sheet and bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes. 4️⃣ Spread pizza sauce over half of each round. Sprinkle with mozzarella and top with pepperoni and basil. Fold the cauliflower in half to cover the cheese and pepperoni.
