How much is too much? Would love your opinion below👇(let me know if you are or are not vegan, especially interested in the non-vegans) At a fair this year (picture taken many months ago 😅), I had the pleasure of trying these vegan “Buffalo Chikin” wings. They were SO GOOD 🤤🤤 This is something that I really enjoy, trying out “veganized” comfort food (these were fried oyster mushrooms) 😋 Also, one of my favorite things to do when being hosted by someone or when being hosted is ask what their favorite food is and make it for them - vegan 🔑🔥❤️ . . However, I have been in circumstances where things taste too much like meat. For me, there is a fine line between making something taste good (biologically, we are fixed to think certain tastes and textures are better than others) and making something taste like an animal product. EXAMPLE: When a vegan company replicates the texture of meat too much, it skeeves me out. This has happened many times to me, sometimes having to repeatedly check a label or call a waiter back like 5 times for them to reassure me (and I still psychosomatically get a stomach ache)🤣🤣 . . Having said all of this, I see why they do it an I applaud them for doing it. It’s all about intentionality! If we are trying to show meat eaters (or people who love that taste/texture) that vegan alternatives can taste just as good - then BOOM. We are winning and helping to show people that compassion can not only be good for the soul, but also for the tastebuds. . . So here is the question - should we really be focusing on what tastes “the most like meat”, or should we just be focusing on what tastes good? I think in many cases they are different and I for one would like the change the paradigm and say that we can create something that tastes EVEN BETTER THAN meat (or whatever else you want). I believe we have already done this with Milks to be honest. I used to love milk growing up and drank a gallon a day 🤢 until I started developing breasts and my mom had to change my diet.... Anyway, now I can drink milk alternatives, that taste way better than milk, aren’t terrible for you, and don’t leave you feeling terrible! What do you think? . . 👖@aloyoga

I teached my first yogasession today and I was SO nervous before. But once it started it felt so natural and wonderful and I love it to the fullest 😍 the room was full of energy it was really magic. Recovering from nasty sinus infection. With great difficulty managed to finish teeny tiny part of backbend practice. Hopefully will do remaining in the evening. It’s easy to idealize an all or nothing mindset, when something is usually better than nothing. Doing 100 squats are awesome but 10 squats are better than zero. 10 pushups are better than none. 5 minutes walk is better than sitting. I float into the abyss. Sinking deeper into my mind, sinking deeper into my thoughts. As my body escapes my soul, I am reminded of the light that it shares with the world and the energy it gains from the earth. I am a child of the planet. My hair is like the leaves growing every day from the trees. My eyes flutter like the wings of birds traveling across oceans looking for warmth. My arms reach out like the wind blowing in different directions encapsulating everything around it. My feet are firmly planted on the ground like the roots of the plants that thrive off of the sweet nectar that is the earth. This freedom of being grows everyday, greeted each morning by the sweet kisses of the sun that are placed on my cheeks. Once again, I am reminded of the beauty of this life and the beauty I am to share with others around me. I emerge from the darkness that once held me so tightly, and I become one again with the planet that created me.

Standing Forward Fold: Stretches the hips, hamstrings, and calves. Strengthens the thighs and knees. I am "teaching" as I am learning. I find it very hard to memorize all the exotic pose names, but I will get there eventually. I hope some can relate as well! 🙊 What a progress, a year ago I want able to do a lot of the poses I can do now. It's a good reminder that don't compare yourself to others and take your journey at your own pace. We're all different, but we will get there. Life happens pretty fast loves❤️ Every moment changes by the second and yet somehow we still acquire this impatient emotion of need. Needing to have this, needing to do that, needing to be somewhere other than where we are right now. • I am now fully aware of this mindset because I recall in my past where I lived in this seeking obsession. Always on the go instead of appreciating the journey of where I was. Never stopping to smell the flowers, only glimpsing to see their beauty. • What’s so powerful about understanding the mind & it’s patterns is that we begin to recognize its presence. I feel myself becoming less and less of a seeker and more and more of a receiver. • Hopefully that makes sense to you ❤️ • Now my days are spent present in each moment completely trusting the universe to take care of me. Recognizing my down time vs my work time. Finding that balance that I have been desiring. • It feels like a steady flow rather than a rapid current which is a very new feel for me.
