* UTTHITA TRIKONASANA * . En español 〰️ Postura del Triángulo Extendido. En inglés 〰️ Extended Triangle Pose. . Utthita = extendido, estirado. There is always so much going on on Sundays, and I haven’t made it to church as much as I should or even as I would like to in 2019. ⛪️ Practicing yoga can be a form of reverence for me, though. 🙏 My favorite Sunday yoga class has always felt like church to me—meeting with a community of like-minded, open-hearted people to practice awareness, and discipline, and gratitude. When I get on my mat, I thank God for my healthy body, for the ability to change and grow. You meet and you have butterflies, you get a feeling of ecstasy, there's a wow moment and something in your body wakes up. Then comes the long-term commitment and you realise it's going to take work. Spring is peering its head around the corner. We are so close to more mild days and humid air (and for me, terrible hair days). This transition time is also a time when Mother Nature renews itself. A yearly ritual of starting over. _ Nature is so resilient. Every Spring, new buds form, the birds return from their winter holidays, and animals emerge from their hideaways to give birth to fresh life. These green #hollywoodhills are the true example of resilience after being burned by fire time and time again. Some rain and some time brought them to life in a way I had never seen. We humans are also resilient. We, too, are nature.💚 _ We can all use Spring as a time to clean out the cobwebs of our minds. Ride Spring's wave of rebirth and renewal. Use this transition as a way to let go of what no longer serves you, allow it to bring you closer to your truth, and watch how you bloom.✨🌷

✨Fue muy importante para mi luego de la manga gástrica, comenzar a ejercitar mi cuerpo sedentario, cansado y aletargado y realmente nunca pensé que fuera tan simple y les explico por qué. Este cuerpo (que a veces quiero que sea luz y vuele por las nubes) había junto a la cirugía, vuelto a nacer, y yo lo descubrí a los días de salir de pabellón. Yo era un bebé, pero literal!, tomaba lechecita, comía papillas y empezaba a reconocer las señales de mi nuevo cuerpo y estómago... entonces sí, había vuelto a nacer!!! Por lo tanto mi cuerpo también! Así que ya no se acordaría que antes era flojo y sedentario, ¿entonces? ¡Ahora o nunca! Así fue como empecé al mes de operada a hacer un entrenamiento funcional muy cuidado que me hizo el master de mi papá y que duró tres meses exactos, de lunes a sábado y sin excusas ni llantos que valieran. Se entrenaba TODOS los días así yo estuviera en cama muriendo jajajjaja y así sucedió la magia, con un arduo entrenamiento logramos crear un HÁBITO que tengo hasta el día de hoy y que extraño a cagar en estos momentos de cambios y neuras.
