mildlyindian. Have you tried temple #ottayappam? This is the bliss of #hometown visi

Have you tried temple #ottayappam? This is the bliss of #hometown visit. It is really special as it is sent by dad and mom. The bits of banana, the pounded jaggery and oodles of ghee that go to create this giant pancake like #appam is a treat to try in Kerala temples. On the contrary, i wish ...i so wish these beautiful #temples are not the seats of unnecessary controversy, unexpected #harthals and violence. Dear #Kerala, what is wrong with you? When you know to come together brilliantly when nature struck down upon you, why do you fight over the unnecessary. Are you so blind to see the dirty politics? @sysriram @santak1951 @nartcr

||The Arunachalam Temple, Tiruvanamalai || Set below boulder-strewn Mt Arunachala, this is one of South India's five ‘elemental’ cities of Shiva; here the god is worshipped in his fire incarnation as Arunachaleshwar. At every full moon, 'Tiru' swells with thousands of pilgrims who circumnavigate Arunachala's base in a purifying ritual known as Girivalam; at any time you’ll see Shaivite priests, sadhus (spiritual men) and devotees gathered around the Arunachaleshwar Temple. • • • #sketchinindia #sketchbook #trellingkerala #sketchinindia #mysketchbook #travelindia #travelgram #artsoninstagram #sketch # #keralatourism #urbansketching #global_sketchers #sketching #artistsoninstagram #artists #instapic #instagood #forts #fortsinindia #art #sketching #artoftheday #instaartist #instaartwork #instaart #artistsoninstagram #artist #sketchartist #instagram #instagram #instapic #instagramers #artgram

||Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple|| ••••••• Architecture: It has a fusion of Kerala and Tamil architecture style. The gopuram was established in 16 th century. •••••••• •••••••• Sanctum: Lord Vishnu in the "Anantha shayanam" posture, the eternal yogic sleep on the serpent Adisheshan. •••••••• •••••••• Life Lesson from the sketch : "Build CURIOSITY in whatever you do, that will lead you forward !" • • Apart from the treasury and other secrets of this temple, I have found something else. As I was standing in the queue for darshan, I observed the carvings of snakes and fishes on the roof. And to my surprise I have observed these carvings in Tirupathi Lord Venkateswara Temple too during my recent visit. I have started enquiring about the myth behind, few said it's related to the 8 directions and about the scientific power to the temple but not satisfied with the answers though. Hope this curiosity leads me to some accurate answers. The rough sketch of the snake and the fish were the first one where I had to remember the picture and draw as cameras were not allowed inside. #kerala #sketchTvm #mysketchbook #sketchaday #sketchAugust #artandhistory #loveforculture #artsofinstagram #artculture #doodlesofinstagram #sketchesofinstagram #sketchbook #inkoctober #artistsoninstagram #trellingkerala #keralatourism #sketcharchitecture #sketchinstadaily #sketchwalker #sketchinstagram #doodlesofinstagram #artinstadaily #kerala360 #deepakramola #hindustantrading #mymooch #kerala #Projectfuel #sketchTvm #mysketchbook #sketchaday #sketchAugust #artandhistory #loveforculture #artsofinstagram #artculture #doodlesofinstagram #sketchesofinstagram #sketchbook #inkoctober #artistsoninstagram #trellingkerala #keralatourism #sketcharchitecture #sketchinstadaily #sketchwalker #sketchinstagram #doodlesofinstagram #artinstadaily #kerala360 #deepakramola #hindustantrading #mymooch #ProjectFuel #sketchinindia #sketch_architectart
