There are some days whereby you feel like even when you try your hardest to lift yourself but you are unable to. But some days it surprises you, all of a sudden you wake up feeling fresh and everything feels alright again and you could lift your head off the ground like when you transition from a funky one-legged head stand to a funky one-legged flying crow. As with all things, things eventually gets better. I’m getting better about prioritizing myself and self care, but part of taking care of yourself is human connection. It’s hard to be genuinely busy and make time for the people I care about. Tbh that’s why I’m trying to get my grad school done as soon as possible. I’m done making myself feel guilty for not being enough, taking on a ton of work so I can feel validated, taking on more work so I don’t the option to make time for friends, rinse and repeat. Halfway Lift - Ardha Uttanasana Such a simple pose that is so easily done wrong. Forearm Balance : if you are working on balance, this is quite a good drill to try especially if you usually do kick ups. The further you are away from the wall, the harder it will get as you have to get the hips over the elbows before you can get the leg at the wall to float off. . If you tend to kick or bounce from the wall, then it's an indication the hips are not over the balancing point yet. . Make sure you can bail out of this before trying this drill.
