Vargo Log - Strength Block, Week 8, Day 1: Not really good or bad. Squats were not particularly hard during the warm-ups, but during the 1@8 shown here I bounced forward and made it harder than it should have been 🤷‍♂️. The back off sets were not terribly hard, which is good. I’m not grinding anything, which is also good. Managed to manage my shoulder pain a bit better, so the presses moved easier than last week 👍. Feeling a bit beat up overall, so definitely looking forward to next week when the third phase of this cycle begins. . . . Wrapping up week 1 of reintroduction to volume. ⠀ I've been very fatigued from the past few days of training and life. I'm really working hard and pushing my limits. ⠀ Things that had me really working for it were high bar tempo squats, Spoto presses, sumo paused deadlifts and just all the volume. Readjusting to the volume has not been easy. My back is acting up and is very knotted up so the paused deadlifts under enormous fatigue had me fighting to finish the sets. I'll update you guys on my back in the next few weeks.
