What does I want to get toned mean 🤔 - Does it mean doing lots of cardio so you can lose weight and look toned? - Truth be told if you do lots of cardio or light weight circuits alone and eat a small amount of food you won’t achieve that look your after. - But you don’t want to look huge and muscly. Ok understood 😬 building muscle is HARD and takes a LONG time especially big ones. - Lift weights to build some shape in your muscles so that when you lose the fat ✂️ you have that ‘toned’ shape you’ve been after👙 - If your stuck and don’t know what to do ask for for help. We’re all so scared these days to ask for help. Just a lil’ ab check! 🤘🏼 - My diet and routine have kind of been all over lately since vacation/getting a puppy/life etc. - Just when I think things are slowing down, life hits the gas pedal and away we go! - So how do you make good choices when you are so stressed or “too busy” to meal prep or hit the gym? - It’s seriously the little things for me. 1️⃣Drink a sh*t ton of water 2️⃣Go for a longer walk with the dogs 3️⃣Try to find the quickest/easiest/healthiest alternative snacks when I’m on the go! (i.e. a piece of fruit or protein bars) 4️⃣Have a check-in with myself weekly & see where I’m at both physically AND mentally 👌 - What I’m getting at is, I know life can get in the way of our goals sometimes. But that doesn’t mean if you take a few days off from the gym or you didn’t get a chance to meal prep that you automatically lose all your progress! Sometimes our bodies demand the rest, and the food. Just make sure you are hitting some key healthy points in your day and everything will be fine! The gym will be there, your abs will resurface, just focus on making THE HEALTHIEST CHOICES POSSIBLE when you’re stressed or on the go. You got dis!🙌🏼

Before wishing for the results that someone else has, consider what they have done to get there. Progress takes work... and not just a little, but a TON of effort over a long period of time. That’s not something that should ever discourage you from trying, but should motivate you to stay the course and give 100% effort to the best of your ability. Seeing people who have ‘been there and done that’ and achieved what you’re hoping to achieve should tell you just how much work that person has put into themselves and their goals. So when you ask ‘why haven’t I had those results?’ you should really be asking ‘have I given every ounce of effort possible every minute of every day?’ If the answer is yes, awesome!!!! Keep crushing it and know that with enough time and effort, results will come. But if the answer is no, it’s time to re-evaluate what more you can do and just how you can work on improving a little bit each and every day. I know, I know. This looks really weird. But wall sits with ball squeezes (heheh ball) was how I conditioned myself last year to get used to the feeling of having something hard between my legs (wait for it) to smash into oblivion (i.e., a watermelon). I figure the same can work for getting my inner thighs used to the pole. Right now one of my greatest weaknesses is dealing with the pain on my skin. The only way to deal is to just anticipate it and get used to it.

Do you ever almost not post something good bc you can nitpick yourself to death?!? ~~ Seriously... It's like this crazy internal war is being waged. ~~ I will say, I'm happy that I've come to a point where my FIRST reaction was, 'dang, that's a great picture! Shoulder muscles showing up, hips lifted and strong and everything!' ~~ Of course, then that little voice creeps in.... 'but my head position is a little too forward... My hips aren't quite even... My thumb should be wrapped around the back... Can you even see that I bothered to put lipstick on?!' ~~ Pretty quickly, I told that voice where to shove it.
