I've been so dang busy this month but I have been putting it in at the gym! Chest and back superset workout that absolutely killed me today! - Check the workout today and let me know how you liked it! Don’t let fear hold you back from reaching your goals. . Setting big goals and going after them is really scary. You always wonder if reaching that big goal is possible, but you’ll never know unless you try. . You have to face your fears and go faster than you think you can. You have to push yourself instead of being afraid of failing. . The marathon is a scary distance because you just never know what you’re going to feel like during the last 10K. Sometimes I’m tempted to start off really slow to save my energy for those last few miles, but if I want a PR I know I have to push from the beginning. I don’t want to go too fast, but I also don’t want to go too slow. . It takes a lot of confidence to put aside your fears and really go after what you want!

I’m that mom who has 4 kids, who ran a marathon last week, who kills her workouts everyday..but, before you roll your eyes..comparing yourself to me or anyone else is deadly. Comparing yourself will rob you of your own joy and excitement. It will kill your motivation and dreams altogether. We don’t compare ourselves in the areas we’re confident in. The more confident you are the less you compare. When we compare it shows insecurity. You are just as able to accomplish your goals as anyone else. . . “Everyone's running their own race. We are not in competition with each other. We are only trying to break our own personal record here. So next time you catch yourself comparing, try cheering on that person instead and remember that you get to write your own success.” . . There was a time when I failed over and over and over (and over, etc.) in my personal fitness. That’s one small area in my life I am now successful in, but I’ll never forget where I came from. That feeling of failure and never being good enough. What changed was resources and a community. The tools I needed to grow were brought to me and the people involved became my family. I do understand how it feels to start at zero and I’ve worked my way up over YEARS of consistency to get where I am today. So now I help others on their fitness journeys and I’d love to help you too! This was one heck of a mess of a run. 😩 I had 1.5m w/u, 6x800m @ 5-10K pace w/400m jog rest and 1.5 cool down. I had a horrible time watching the pacing on my watch. I have never figured out how to set up intervals in it and, honestly, have mostly done any speed work on a TM. Truthfully, I really have done very little of it in the last two years. So, adding it in this cycle and it was some crazy town. I did have some fun with a few kids at the ball field who were quite enamored with my light vest. Especially when I made it flash rotating colors!!😀 Keeping this ball rolling on the Tokyo train. FINALLY!!! I got to see my favorites and run and I could NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!! A quick 3 miles with some loverly negative splits 💁🏼‍♀️ the knee was a bit tender on the first mile but actually gradually felt better and then pain free by the end? Maybe it was adrenaline but it made me feel relieved. And catching up with these beauties made my heart smile!
