Chronically stressed, run down, sleep deprived, surviving on caffeine, not eating to your body’s needs? Maybe a run isn’t what you need...a walk could serve you better (or go get that food, water, sleep, contact with nature or laughter your body needs). When we are chronically stressed or ‘burntout’ research says as little as 20-30 mins moderate intensity exercise 2-3 times a week is all we need. But this is Dose Dependent. Away training and staying in a hotel so another treadmill session. Not used to this! Forgot to start the @garmin (actual mileage was s shade over 3) and couldn't decide what program to use. Finally decided on 1 min on and 1 min off with a gradually increasing pace. Hold the front page, I managed to fit in a whopping whole 2.5 miles before the morning chaos with the girls (suddenly my 9 year old doesn’t like toast!! FFFS 🤯) and work this morning!! 🙌🏻 . Long runs are most definitely saved for weekends only right now. 🏃🏻‍♀️ . But any miles are better than no miles, so I’ll take my couple of miles and add them to the bank 🥳
