I've been teaching 45 min classes a lot lately so trying to come up with exercises that target 2+ muscle groups at once or introducing work for the next exercise, that's not too complex for a class environment. This bad boy is might be a lil bit much but can be modified in so many ways. Ball works inner thighs, chest expansion is mid back and adds some work for the triceps and on top of the there's a Teaser involved. Pulling too quickly without stabilizing torso and hips could cause you to fall forward. *Use whatever cords you feel most comfortable using* Try doing 5 repetitions Starting Position: Kneel on the platform, thighs against shoulder rest, facing pulleys. Keep Spine and pelvis neutral. Arms straight holding ropes in fists, palms facing in. 1. Pull arms back to extend shoulders as far as stabilization can be maintained. 2. Maintain arm position and turn head to on side then the other. 3. Maintain arm position and return head to center. 4. I recently filmed a version of this on Saturday with @fitsocietystudio when I was in Michigan. Love the way this feels. I used all the springs and on the @balanced_body studio or clinical reformer, I hold on to the silver posts to help me stay centred. . If you try this out, make sure your shoulders and lower cervical spine feel centred and supported on the box. I try to get the bulb of my skull just off the corner of the long box. . This positioning and exercise is for those who are fearless, strong and a bit in love with slow, controlled movement. Use #pelvicfloor and #longlengthenedlegs to #rolloveronthereformer lift legs up in to #jackknife and give your #glutes an extra squeeze at the top to open up the front of your hips. Imagine you are touching a button on the ceiling with your toes as you lengthen legs up. Keep hips lifted as you dip long legs overhead in to the well. Long, slow roll down, engaging your PF as you roll your spine down bone-by-bone #contrology #slowandcontrolled #fullrangeofmovement #feelssogood. #judypilates
