Vivimos en un país en el que el deporte nacional no es el CrossFit, eso está claro, pero el Béisbol tampoco lo es. Y es que en Venezuela el deporte nacional es criticar. Y si criticas conociendo solo de oídas entonces ya eres campeón de esta disciplina. ¡Loco, te vas a lesionar! Y todo esto viene a colación porque los que vamos al box tenemos que sufrir constantemente de los agravios comparativos, y despectivos de una parte de la población que creo, solo está desinformada. El primer punto a tener en cuenta es que en todos los deportes hay lesiones. Porque en el CrossFit hay lesiones, claro que las hay, esto es un deporte con grandes exigencias físicas y forzamos nuestro cuerpo hasta el límite en muchas ocasiones. Pero las lesiones no ocurren cuando abres la puerta del box, ocurren cuando tu actitud prepotente te hace poner más discos en la barra de los que deberías, cuando tu coach no te corrige correctamente o no te recomienda bajar el peso o cuando la programación es incorrecta y sobrecarga algunas partes de tu cuerpo. ¡Eso de las manos no es normal! Que levante la mano el que no acaricia, sino que exfolia, exacto. Todos los crossfitteros acabamos teniendo manos de leñador. Se las enseñas a tu madre, pareja o amigos con todos los callos abiertos y casi sangrando. En efecto, lo de las manos no es normal. Pero es lo que ocurre cuando llevas tu cuerpo a un límite. Como los pies de los bailarines, las uñas que se les caen a los corredores, las narices rotas en boxeadores o las tendinitis en tenistas. Son gajes del oficio, al que no le gusten que practique ajedrez. Pero no son mejores ni peores que cualquier otra lesión o daño deportivo. Muchos no nos imagino sin callos, es más cuando no tenemos es porque hace mucho que no paso por el box y nos sentimos hasta mal. Greatness is demanding more of yourself than anyone else could ever demand of you. When others say “done”. You say “next”. 🙌🏼 - - Usually leg days are the workouts I absolutely dread and today was no exception... but today I absolutely smashed a hammie and glutes session, hit PBs on every single lift and they all felt SO GOOD 🤩 - - Top sets being: 🍑Sumo squats @ 95kg for 8 🍑Hip thrusts @ 100kg for 12 🍑Hack squats @ 140kg for 15 While sitting at 60kg body weight, the only way is UP from here. 💪🏼
