Summer is on the way which means it’s time to be more jacked with no tan...or jacked and sun burnt in my case. # These pics are 6 weeks apart, but to be honest Its really been the last 3 weeks where I have been training consistently and making better food choices. # After feeling down about training & being injured I contacted @spartan_performance_ to coach me having been through a similar experience & someone I have a lot of respect for, training has been hard work but enjoyable. It’s been refreshing to have a different focus in training & not putting pressure on myself to chase numbers in the powerlifts which I think my body & mind needed a break from. I just kept setting myself up to fail as my body wasn’t 100%. My current aim is to be as strong & healthy as possible before I go in for surgery on my knee which will hopefully be in the next 3-4 months. # When I decided to clean up my eating habits, I didn’t want to track calories (doing it for 2 years straight has scarred me for life 😂🙈) so I have just been making better choices - Protein each meal - Eat more fruit & veg - Less chocolate (don’t buy it for the house ) - Lower calorie food swaps - Food volume - Making others aware of my current goal to help me stay on track - Drinking more water Alongside adding in some additional cardio of 10-30 mins 2-3 times per week. #jackednotan #getstrong #liftstronglookstrong #spartanperformance #training #gym #bdfpa #powerlifter #powerlifting #bodybuilding

A cool 195 lb press for @laskowski89 this morning. Made it look easy. Just over a week out from @usapowerlifting meet in Prescott! Really looking forward to it and aiming for that nationals berth. The work has been put in and she's ready to crush. Also really looking forward to hanging out at @captain_crossfit while we're there. Almost 2 years since I last competed in strongman there. Fantastic facility with all kinds of great athletes and equipment. June 2nd is going to be righteous.

Only really had time for home workouts but that’s ok. ——————————————————————— Back workout: 🍿Deadlifts: 140kg 5x4 🍿Upright row 60kg 5x10 🍿Bentover row 70kg 5x10 🍿Strict pull downs 23kg 3x10 (video) 🍿Pull ups until failure —————————————————————- Next week I start my cut. Low carbs (apart from fibrous carbs in veg). Going to be interesting what I drop down too. Weight currently 85.6kg.

Sooooo ich werde nun vom lieben @_zitronenquark_ gecoacht und das heißt bekanntlich: Touch'n go Deadlifts Wer mich kennt weiß wie kritisch ich dem gegenüber stehe: Es ist weit weg vom Competition Lift, gibt keinen reliablen Parameter vor und kann (wenn man keinen Plan hat wie man seinen Körper unter Spannung hält) natürlich verletzungsanfälliger sein als der Comp Deadlift. Das letzte mal habe ich vor ca 1.5 Jahren im Mcfit so gehoben und mich krass gefühlt, weil ich 100kg 6x heben konnte😍🏆 #strongbae Aber, tatsächlich muss ich dem Touch'n go DL nun doch einige Vorteile gegenüber dem normalen Comp DL zusprechen. 1. dauerhafte Spannung Das war ein abartiger Pump nach den 200kg von den 160kg will ich gar nicht reden, dieses Argument mit der Spannung wird mir von den meisten MCfit Gangstern auch vorgebracht, sieht man ihren Deadlift jedoch, so frage ich mich ob sie einen Good Morning from the ground machen wollen. Wenn du kein Plan hast wie du deinen Körper unter Spannung setzt und kein Muskelgefühl mitbringst würde lieber mit weniger Gewicht an diesen Punkten arbeiten😉 2. Lockout Loooooockout Mein Lockout ist n Arsch und dadurch, dass mir der Anfang der Konzentrischen erspart bkeibt und der Lockout fast derselbe bleibt wie beim Comp Dead wirdir das wohl einen Benefit geben. I set a goal recently at the beginning of March to push 4 plates by May..25 days later of my intended goal and I finally pushed past 400lbs. Started with the lowbar squat this week, working on tighter lats and core to keep my chest up, but will develop the more I practice. Huge thanks to @jharve_09 and @ezekielfitness for helping me out!! I assume, that I had some reps in the tank. . It was followed by: . 3 sets of 6-10 on low bar pin squats (as my supplemental squat variation, which is the most demanding type of squat, personally) . 3 sets of 6-10 on pin wide grip bench press. . 3 sets of 8-10 on t&g wide grip bench press. . 4 sets of 10 on supinated bicep curls. . I got a nice pump today and I was feeling myself so I took a couple pics for my personal folder of progress pics...then I scrolled down and looked at the first few pictures I took when I started this “fitness journey” and holy cheez itz there’s a difference. It’s hard to post these before pics but I’m proud of this. I used to be in and out of the gym here and there and tried a bunch of weird ass diets but September of 2016 was when I forced myself to start being consistent. The pics I took when I started were about a month into the process on days I was feelin myself. Shoutout to @whitneyysimmons for being my inspo to getting my butt up and moving. I feel like I’ve come a long way since 2016 and I can’t wait to see what else is to come in the future. Look at this beautiful breakfast I had at the Hangar Cafe in Seattle this morning with @babstagrams 😍 • PSA: it’s okay to take time off from your diet. I planned this trip and all the foods I’d be eating into my cut. I’m ahead of where I need to be so it’s okay to let loose and eat the damn crepes this week ✨ I’m still loosely tracking and aiming to eat *around* maintenance but I’m not restricting myself. 5 days off of my diet will not kill me or set me back. It’s just a break! Diet breaks are good for you mentally and physically. There’s been some new studies that actually show that diet breaks can accelerate fat loss in the long run. They’ll restore your energy levels and help press the reset button on your motivation to reach your goals. And they may reduce any metabolic adaption from being in a deficit for too long. • TLDR; Don’t be in a constant state of restriction. Enjoy time with friends and family. Life is too short not to eat the crepes 💕
