Hell of a weekend. There is nothing more I can say about our team. Yall dont know how proud of everyone I am. I love you guys and girls. This team means the world to me. Meet recap: first an foremost I xant remember the last time I weighed 270. With that being said it takes weight to move weight. Squat was the hardest for me sitting at this weight. For at attempt is 571. I went for 601 but got called on depth. I feel it was questionable but hell that's why we get judged. It will just fuel the fire for me to keep pushing for more weight. We scratched my 3rd attempt to save energy for bench and deadlifts which I'm glad we did. Bench felt great. I hit my previous record at 441 but now sitting 30 pounds lighter than when I did it last time. Deadlift I increased my best to 634 that's an 11 pound pr for the meet. 16 weeks away from the next meet on December 7th in Houston at bend the bar. To my team like I said yall dont know how proud I am to say I am apart of lakecharles powerlifting. To go further in any aspect comes down to the most basic fundamentals. When talking about exercise for example, whether that be getting faster, shedding fat, building muscle there's clues left behind from successful people everywhere. - The first is so ridiculously easy, it's just fkn showing up, if you show up and you're consistent 2, 3, 4 times per week you're already ahead of a myriad of people wanting to walk the same path as you, just show up, get yourself there and know that the most difficult part is starting, and thereafter the hardest part is stopping! once you start it becomes incredibly invigorating watching yourself change as person. - The second is gaining your knowledge, whether it be by being coached or reading/watching videos, there's so much information out there now and while alot of bullshit is out there, there's also so much free valuable content from people doing great things willing to share it with you, once you start learning about what you're actually trying to improve (take exercise for example) instead of just going to the gym and meandering around machines you notice a big change in your confidence and ability to plan and tackle sessions. - The third is to have a plan and have a goal.. super easy, look at yourself now and ask where you want to be, and make that goal a long term goal, and say that goal aloud, and tell people about it, that puts pressure on yourself because nobody wants to be a failure in other's eyes. Late posting for today. Had a nice session with @mr.young287 today. My deadlift sucks, so we worked on some banded rack pulls. Did 95lb EMOM for 6 minutes. Felt good. Then we did some RDL. On to my least favorite db rows 35lb db 4x6-8 (video - I so KINDLY reminded Gary that it was my fourth and final set lol), db bicep curls, seated cable row AMRAP dropset working from 80lbs down to 30lbs. And a HORRENDOUS finisher of 5 minutes of 20 seconds on, 20 seconds off planks. DEAD. 💀 Also, I knew I was sassy but WOW these videos really opened my eyes lol sorry Gary, still love u tho 😜 And don’t mind the holes in my leggings. They’re my favorite pair and there’s nothing else wrong with them so I refuse to get rid of them. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #BREEABOUTIT
