Thought of the day‼️ • Be aware of your mistakes and don’t be afraid to admit your wrong doings. I 100% understand how hard it is to accept the fact that you mess up. At the end of the day we are all human. We all mess up, we ALL are not perfect whatsoever. Every single person on social media that appear to have that “PERFECT” life, are often the ones with the most fucked up ones so don’t let them fool you. Learn to love your struggle. Trust your own strength. I still til this day struggle with so many imperfections and I’m not afraid to be honest. But everyday I recognize these things and am willing to accept it and correct myself. Last but not least never live in regret. Regardless of the situation you learned something. I haven’t done back squats in a while and it felt amazing 🤤 My working was cut short so I’ll have to finish accessories later today. - Following a program and keeping track of your lifts is great for ensuring progress but sometimes you just gotta go with the flooow. - Tips for Flow-Going 💡: 1️⃣ always warm up. Start with 5-10 minutes of cardio to help get in the zone 2️⃣ start with your heavier lifts — squats, rows, deadlifts, bench and shoulder presses 3️⃣ Stimulate > Annihilate: complete 3-4 full working sets of each exercise and move on 4️⃣ get creative by switching up your workouts with different stances, grips, weight, intensity, rest times, sets, reps, and tempos! - Summer is literally around the corner. Lateral Raise 💪🏻 . The lateral raise is one of those exercises where you shouldn’t go to heavy❗️People usually make the mistake of using too heavy weights, consequently using momentum and shrugging at the top of the movement ❌ . When performing the lateral raise, slightly hip hinge to shift your weight towards the mid-scapular plane. Imagine lifting the load to the side ⬅️➡️ not up ⬆️⬆️ Don’t let the wrists go above the elbows at the top of the movement (external rotation). Keep elbows pointed high (slight internal rotation) while maintaining a slight bend. Lift the load to about shoulder height and keep the scapula depressed to avoid the upper traps taking over ✅ . By using a resistance band you can provide continuous tension throughout the range of motion, especially the bottom part 🔥🔥🔥 . @dejangrujcic @valkyrie_gym
