Here’s are some exercises you might give a try! Don’t have an an roller? Skip that exercise! You really only need a pair of socks, slippery floors (or carpet if you really want a challenge!), and a mat! Сильные квадрицепсы забирают большую часть нагрузки с кистей. Необходимо отталкиваться кистями от пола, сохранять стабильность центра тела, направить мышцы пресса и поясницы друг к другу. Важно расположить плечи над кистями. Толкните пятки назад, а макушку вперёд. 💁‍♀️Упрощения. Начинать осваивать планку можно с колен, а также не переусердствовать со временем нахождения в позе. Дайте кистям время окрепнуть и подготовиться к большим нагрузкам. 💪Усложнения. Можно остаться на 3 или 2 точках опоры, увеличить время удержания, отходить руками от ног, изменять расстояния между руками, переходить в планку на предплечьях, а также в боковые варианты. 🧘‍♀️Польза. Укрепление мышц всего кора, квадрицепсов, плеч, кистей. Поза имеет хороший разогревающий эффект, а также является хорошей профилактикой простудных заболеваний. 🙅‍♀️Противопоказания. Травмы позвонков и межпозвонковых дисков, травмы связок и сухожилий, внутренние воспаления, кистевой туннельный синдром.

You can also use socks, towels, blankets to slide, but these do create a little more challenge for me😅. Purvottanasana (Upward Plank Pose) I love how we fall in and out of love with Asanas. When practicing Ashtanga I used to dread this posture. I just didn’t feel good doing it and while in paschimottansana my mind would get distracted knowing what was coming. And then one day. It all became easy. I lifted my hips higher than before and toes would touch the floor (ok, not always) . I now love this posture: it is now part of my Vinyasa flows : after a forward-bend, it is just de-li-cious ! arms, legs, wrists stretch ✔ shoulders, thorax, ankles strengthening ✔

Planking for day 3 of #FireUpAsanas 🔥 I chose to do a forearm plank because I find them so much harder and stronger than on my hands. And also they are a super helpful preparation for any forearm stand. Plank pose seems like a simple position made for just targeting the core and strengthening other muscle groups, but when placed into the salutations of yoga flow it is so much more. The link between the breathe and the body that is provided within the transitions really keeps me fully connected to my practice. It counters twists, bends, and folds to relax the muscles but keep them active all the same. Happy to be able to appreciate it in this way.
