Some 🌶💥 core to fire up your Thursday! Blast some good old @aliciakeys & move to the beat. Watch me a struggle a bit to get my head on straight with this movement. It’s trickier than you think! Read below for some more info about this movement before you begin please This is a slow and controlled movement that targets your deep adominals, hamstrings and glutes. You should feel no pain in your lower pack or shoulders. The movement is a slow, small range of motion using an engaged leg (point or flex your feet!) with a straight spine. Engaging your core will stabilize you and protect your back. Your opposite arm and leg are raised and drawing away from your body. Imagine a long, strong and straight line from your raised fingers to your raised toes (engage and engage!! Point and spread those fingers/toes). Next is stacking, anything on the ground should be stacked. Shoulder stacked under wrist and hip stacked under knee on the ground. Press into the hand and away from the floor. Beginning to move, find a range of motion that works for you. The leg is not raising very high, once you start to feel the movement using your back muscles, back off and do smaller lifts. Too big of movements will dump into your back and throw off your stability Modifications is having that hand on the ground come down to the forearm. The range of motion will be a lot smaller, but will help relieve any pain in the wrist If you made it this far, go ahead and enjoy!
