Half marathon 21 in the books with the @runsra_cim 2-person relay today ๐Ÿ… Ran the rolling hills of legs 1 and 2 of the California International Marathon for a total of 13.5 miles ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ First legit race and longest distance in a year and nine months. Is running really all mental? ๐Ÿคจ . Kinda. I mean there is a physical part of running but our brains are muscles that need training as well. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ . Has the distance of your run stopped you before you even got started? Fear and doubt flood your brain - all before you step outside. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ . Hereโ€™s a mental tip to use next time your milage is daunting: . Take for example your scheduled 6 mile run. If 6 miles is too much, break it down so you can trick your brain. Itโ€™s just 3 miles..... you gotta do twice. . See the difference? Same end goal (6 miles) but if you break it down to smaller increments it doesnโ€™t feel so overwhelming.๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ .
