You make me (and many others) wake of feeling stiff and old in mornings. You keep me stuck in a cycle of pain even when Iโ€™ve been treated and I know Iโ€™m moving better. Whatever you do in your weight loss journey-make it sustainable. I try to prioritize. Day by day. Moment by moment. Can I get a workout in. Or will cleaning my house be more beneficial so that Iโ€™m less stressed and can be more organized all week? Do I spend time cooking a home made meal. Or do I workout and pick up some healthy prepared food from Costco? The key is not feeling โ€œnot good enoughโ€. Not feeling the guilt. Because all we can do is try our bestโ€” and sometimes my best is finding a shortcut that gets me through the day in one peace with MOST of my goals met. Just keep going. Keep doing as much as you can do without driving yourself (or your family) crazy. Keep making better choices than you did the day before. Keep focusing on awareness and being present- learning from choices that did not make you feel good. Reflect on how you might change the choice and the behavior. So when I feel my depression lingering, there is more of a necessity to lean in on what creates more happiness & stability in my life. โ € โ € So maybe gains & confidence isnโ€™t something that interests you but improving your mental health is? On the left you have 2 years of taking a general group class that is primarily cardio based, and on the right you have 3 months of proper weight training and nutrtion. My client @lauriealexx was taking a group exercise class for about 2 years prior to working me and @nyfit_drew. She discussed her frustrations with not seeing the results for the work she was putting in. During our consultation I explained that it was the lack of weight training she was missing along with her nutrtion. I told her in 3 months if you stay consistent youโ€™ll see more changes then you did in those 2 years.
