Move To Improve: Sometimes when we have mobility problems around joints it can often be due to a lack of stability around that joint rather than stiffness. If the body senses a lack of stability it will often create tension around that joint to prevent it from  moving as freely as a way of protection, this makes sense if you think about it. Hence working or challenging the stability of the joints will help the body feel safe and the tightness will get released. Often this is a good go to if you've been foam rolling, stretching and working on mobility without much success, in fact I'd go to this modality first. Here are two simple looking but very effective bodyweight exercises  that focus on strength and stabilisation of the whole body. In the 1st exercise, full plank with elevated hands. When each leg is lifted this stresses all the muscles in the front of the body more due to the body having to take on more load hence increased tension in the muscles. Rotational forces are also added so the stabilisers around the joints are working hard too. The hips get some added attention too due to the leg raising, having to stabilise the down leg on one side and the glute of the raised leg gets some good activation. On the 2nd exercise it's a similar story but in reverse. In keeping the hips up and almost parallel to the floor, plus driving the shoulders and upper arms into the ground we get a lot of tension in the posterior chain. Plus again in raising the leg, more tension and rotational forces are added with more stress around the hips whilst raising the leg. Much much more is going on here but I hate writing on phones as I've got fat fingers 🤷🏾‍♂️ These two exercises cover alot of bases at the same time and are rather global. Often using specific stabilisation should be used to target more specific joints or areas. Train intelligently for great gainz and functionality 👍🏾 #nutritioncoachs

Many people mag think that these non-dairy milk alternatives are providing the nutrient needed for good health. But are they? Although plant based milks can be really beneficial for health, sustainability and also have an ethical edge, substituting another beverage for milk can lead to gaps in calcium and other key nutrients like phosphorus and vitamin B1. It is important to know that if you opt for plant based milks look at the ingredients to ensure that what you are drinking contains little to no additives/fillers🧐 In terms of nutrient analysis, it may surprise people to find that many plant milks still contain appropriate calories, protein and/calcium. Most also contain fewer saturated fats compared to dairy milk (which we know is a plus!).
