100kms Done Where to start.... My training leading up to this event was good, I was feeling confident, but inside I knew I hadn't trained hardly near enough for the brutal elevation that was coming up. My heart rate and cardio was good, I never felt over exerted with that, but my legs and knees fell the full force of the 1000s of stairs and the 4000m of elevation. I started to plan not going out too hard, but the tiredness and confusion got me at CP3, where I came in just 40mins behind the leaders which was great time. I had it in my head I was behind my schedule when in fact I was not, I was right on. This psyched me out a bit and I started to lose the battle mentally. From there on things got tough, I had thoughts many times over, to just quit, slow down and just go for the 14hrs to get the silver buckle again, or just enjoy walking it. But a small part of me said keep going. So I did. It wasn't until the last 20ks or so that I was speaking to another runner I had been playing leap frog with the entire event and he said to me we could still get 11hrs. I then done some mental calculations and realised 11hrs and 30mins was still possible. I came into the last CP5 but the same as many recent times I couldn't get my nutrition right, I decided to sit for 10mins and let my body balance itself out again as I could stomach any of the food I had with me. I took off again and made some good time on the 8km downhill stretch right back to ground zero, ready for the climb again. I finished my last 200ml can of coke and my coconut water and the climb was on, I was powering through, doing so well, I had 4 gels with me and some chews, and I started feeling it again, I was low on sugar once more. I opened the chews had one and instantly started convulsing as my body tried to reject the sweet chews, I was thinking shit, here we go again, another slow hike to the end, I slowed down and kept running but after a while my straight running started to resemble someone trying to dodge machine gun fire as I struggled to stay on my feet. At about 93k I had to stop, sit down and just wait. Then I remembered I had some sour lollies in my pouch... cont'd comments

“I FUCKING DID IT” . . Her mandag morgen sidder jeg sq lidt med blandede følelser efter CPH maraton i går😔😁 Da målet var en tid på 4.15-4.30 og endte med 5.30 . . Det var en super varm dag, så jeg startede en anelse konservativt ud, da det også er mit første maraton og det gik helt perfekt. Benene var gode og energi/vand strategien var snor lige, men lidt før de 30 begyndte venstre knæ at bide fra sig og ikke langt efter de 30, gik det helt galt😫 Store smerter satte ind, så store at jeg knækkede sammen og måtte holdes oppe😰 Jeg måtte ned at gå og sidde af flere omgange og min helt fantastisk kæreste @petervadskaer prøvede alt hvad hans kloge neuro nørde😉fys hjerne, kunne af tricks for at jeg kunne fortsætte. Uden ham havde det set sort ud, så tak skat🙏🏼💖 . Jeg er sq ikke pivet, men for helvede hvor gjorde det ondt og jeg måtte humpe 3 km i gang, med et venstre ben som ikke kunne bøjes🙄 GOD DAMN så virker de sidste 10 km som 1000😫 Der blev tudet, bandet og svovlet her hos den meget stædige kvinde😭🤬😂 Ved hjælp af flere gange nervemobilisering og positiv selvsnak, kom jeg op i lunt og højre ben måtte lave alt arbejde og få slæbt venstre med, men jeg fucking løb de sidste 6-7 km, langsomt, men løb og på de sidste 2, overtog dopamin og farten blev højere og kunne “spurte” over målstregen sammen med 2 af de meste fantastiske mænd i mit liv🙌🏼🏆💖 @madsmeyerschultz skal have kæmpe kæmpe kys og kram for skøn energi og støtte hele vejen💖 #fuckhvorvildt #jeggørdetigen #fuckcancer . . . . . #styrke #neverquit #keepgoing #aktivlivsstil #strength #overcome #obstacles #beatyourobstacle #runner #running #løber #marathon #healthylifestyle #inspiration #motivation #fitness #fitfamdk #fitspiration #youcandoit #wornhard #træning #training #goals #dowhatyoulove #sundayfunday #pushyourself #loveyourself

✨ Motivation Moday ✨ Het weekend is weer voorbij. Gisteren heerlijk naar de sauna geweest en echt even tot rust gekomen. Een dagje zonder telefoon, Social media, zakelijke mails etc. Heerlijk zo’n dagje. Nu 4 weken uit, echt spannend. Deze foto was een dag na mijn eerste wedstrijd en deze kijk ik heel vaak even als ik denk dat het niet goed komt met mijn shape, ik het niet meer zie zitten of zelfs wil stoppen omdat ik denk dat een internationale wedstrijd veel te hoog gegrepen is. Dan zie ik weer hoe je shape de laatste weken van je road naar je wedstrijd toe nog zo kan veranderen. Doorzetten zit in mijn aard en opgeven zit niet in mijn aard, maar heel af en toe denk ik “ik gooi de handdoek in de ring”. Dan uit ik me even bij Mn lieve mede genoten die deze wereld ook maar al te goed kennen en dan krijg ik weer een hoop motiverende en lieve woorden van ze. Dankbaar dat ik zulke lieve mensen om me heen heb die me altijd weer dat goede duwtje in de rug geven. Omgeef jezelf met mensen die jou omhoog liften en het beste met je voor hebben en je energie geven en niet met mensen die je naar beneden halen en alleen maar energie kosten. Mijn coach @team.h3nn0 is één van de geduldigste mannen die ik ken. Ik vertrouw op hem en hij geeft me ook veel vertrouwen en steun, daar ben ik echt enorm dankbaar voor, thanks coach! Ook haal ik veel motivatie uit de lieve berichten die mijn moeder altijd over me schreef en hoe trots ze altijd op me was. We gonne kick some ass and let them een poepie ruiken! Nog maar iets minder dan 4 weken en dan ga ik je trots maken mam. Waar ik ook eindig! Ik doe het allemaal wel en ik geniet ervan mam! In mijn mooie rode bikini van @bedazzledbymanouq 😍.
