#accountability ... to who?! To me of course! And to my kids. And my sweetheart. Any one else that might for one reason or another, count on seeing my posts to inspire them to work towards the goals they’ve set for themselves. I take care of myself so I can continue to take care of those I love. I take care of myself because I deserve it. So, I record my workouts, whether I share them or not to watch my progress and check my form. I record them and share them to look back on on those days where those inner voices are trying to talk me out of it, trying to convince me it’s not working or that I’m not strong enough... I worked my #backandbiceps today and this video is just super sped up snippets of my workout. Keeping some standards that I know work and adding in some newer exercises that I’m trying out for a few weeks to see what happens (like 21s with the curl bar🔥🔥🔥)! Strengthening my back has made a huge difference inky posture and my ability to comfortably carry out some everyday tasks that once caused low back pain —» because my poor weak back couldn’t handle the load. It’s helped improve my yoga practice ...making me feel stronger and more capable of balancing upside down 🙃 (which you know I did after my workout because #yogaeverydamnday 😂) How do you stay accountable? Also known as upward bow, this is quite an intense posture as it requires having not only a flexible spine but also flexible shoulders, wrists and quads in addition to overall body strength! . Remember that it takes time to gain flexibility and daily practice is key ⭐️ . 🤸🏽‍♂️You might feel like these “fancy poses” on instagram are inacessible to you or that it will take an eternity to get there but beleive me that’s how everyone feels at the beginning (and even later). Enjoy the journey, find sequences you truely like and then you will notice that you won’t feel “stuck” because it’s not about getting the perfect pose ASAP but rather just enjoying the road that leads you there! (I hope that made sense 🤨) . ☀️About the MODIFIED WHEEL pose in the last slide: If you are a complete beginner don’t try to get into a full wheel pose just yet. Bend your elbows as I demonstrated in the last video and lift yourself just a bit to stand on the crown of your head. This will help you get used to the full pose. . “It took me a while to learn the true meaning of patience and surrender, but I have finally accepted that healing doesn't happen on our schedule. It doesn't have a clock or a calendar.” ➰Yolanda Hadid➰ • //SURRENDER// Today’s a day of surrender, when I bow my head, accept what is, let go of what my expectations of tomorrow were yesterday, and look to something outside of myself for grace. • I let go of the notion of control- control over my body, feelings towards my body, all the things I need to do today, and the actions of others (which I never had to begin with). Pain is hitting me from so many angles today, it’s unbearable. So I surrender. It can feel overwhelming and scary to have no control over my body, to feel as though my skeleton’s disassembling itself and my skin’s on fire, but rather than fight it, I surrender, knowing it’ll pass. • Surrender doesn’t mean giving up, it means acceptance and is a sign of strength. Ironically, by letting go, I AM taking control. I’m taking control of my reaction, which is the only thing in life we truly have control over. I’m calm, turning towards faith, and continue to breathe. I’ll listen to my body, do my best today, not get angry over what I can’t control, and continue to focus my thoughts on healing...recognizing there’s been a great deal of healing over the past three years- not on my timeline, but healing none-the-less. I won’t focus on what’s been taken from me, but rather, what’s been granted to me as a result of these ridiculous diseases. That’s what surrender means. There’s grace in surrender. Relief in surrender. Peace in surrender. Мир - это тайна. Познать его с помощью ограниченного ума то же самое, что пытаться перелить океан из точки А в точку Б с помощью чайной ложки. К тому же ум нам дается на одно вопрощение, а душа хранит в себе опыт десятков-сотен-тысяч инкарнаций. Поэтому когда мы пытаемся решить вопрос опираясь на логику и ум, мы ограничиваемся только прошлым опытом нынешнего воплощения, душа же из тысячи вариантов знает, какой подойдет тебе лучше всего. У нее не просто опыта мягко говоря больше, она способна «видеть» прямо-назад-вглубь-вширь и кто знает, в каких еще плоскостях, а ум плосколинейный. Ему бы практическими вопросами заняться, а мы все на него свалити )) Но услышать душу не так легко, она не навязвает тебе свое мнение, а терпеливо ждет твоего внимания. Ум же сравним с маленьким вредным ребенком, которому всегда всего мало, он шумит, он боится потерять контроль, он создает иллюзию в виде страха перед неизвестным для того, чтоб не отдать пульт управления душе, и кажется у него это отлично получается. Что значит жить умом и почему это плохо? Например Cухарик не любит свою работу, но боится что-то поменять, боится, что его никто не поддерживает, что он не сможет, что у него недостаточно навыков, что о нем подумает общество (а общество давит, потому что большинство его предстваителей так же, как и Сухарик, реководствуются умом в решении абсолютно всех вопросов). И так, все эти страхи удерживают Cухарика в знакомом болоте, оно ведь родное. А заниматься тем, что по душе, это роскошь не для всех. Но Вселенная устроена так, что счастливым ты будешь только тогда, когда идешь за зовом души. И когда ты это делаешь, она открывает перед тобой новые двери, она поддерживает тебя, подкидывает инсайты, новые знакомства, новые возможности, новые источники вдохновения. Поэтому так важно научиться чувствовать желания своей души. Я знаю не по наслышке, что происходит, если ее игнорировать.
