⚡️Find me in the club⚡️ . . If you’re a heavy lifter and feel pain all the time because there’s no variety in your work out routine other than lifting heavy.. learning the steel clubs will definitely help you level the F up. . . Do these swing to Leonardo’s(Ninja turtle that pulls the swords ⚔️) if you go for 90 seconds you feel your grip start to fade.. keeping your form, composure, and breathe translates nicely to the performance world. Normal humans to high level athletes. . . Combining time to “work in” as apposed to “working out”. . . Taking the time to tie your breathing and movement is huge for your neurological state of being.. you become “parasympathetic “ way more calm. . . Guess what happens when you make this shift.? The truest, most honest, and strongest version of you starts to appear in your thoughts, and actions. . . I believe strongly that “working in” enhances your state of being. @paul.chek . . Rock counting! My 3 year old created this calming strategy on his own to reset when he feels upset or hurt. He found each rock and we put them in a special box. He carefully takes the box out, places each rock on the floor in a row as he counts. He counts again as he gently puts each rock back into the box. Try it for yourself and please share how it goes! Remember, every child has a different temperament, so please don’t be discouraged if this doesn’t work for yours. Different feelings require different strategies too. Try different tools and see what works! . . . . #omkids #omkidsmaine #kidsyoga #youthmindfulness #mindfuleducation #mindfulmama #familywellness #mindfulness #mindfulschools #mindfulkids #inspireamindfulfuture #teachcompassion #mindfulmovement #yoga #familyyoga #heartcentered #resilience #buildresilience #compassionatekids #empathy #love #leadwithlove #selflove #cultivatecompassion #compassionatehumans #buildcompassion #kindness #happiness #self-compassion

”Laughter is the best medicine”, ain’t that the truth! Here’s an image I picked up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, amongst the laughter and good times I found this quite poignant. It made me realise how many of us want change. Change in the external world as well as changes in our internal world. The big question is how do we achieve either of these? As Gandhi once famously said, we achieve this by “being the change we want to see in the world”. With mindfulness we learn how to replace unhelpful and destructive habits with positive energy such as self-compassion and kindness. Only when we are truly compassionate and kind to ourselves is there space to know what is really important to us and what we can realistically do to affect change, wether that’s just smiling at more people, writing to your MP or joining a protest. Mindful awareness helps us reconnect with our ethics and morals which can only be a good thing as we all journey through these challenging times. The next mindfulness course starts on Monday 2 September. Get in touch if you want change too. #BeingMindfulMe

Is meditation the key to happiness? 🧘‍♀️ You know there are so so many benefits to meditation and one of them is mind clarity leading to better life choices. But how do you even begin? First take it easy, let’s not over complicate it! Start by sitting or lying comfortably, closing your eyes and just breathe naturally. Focusing on the slight movements that your inhales and exhales bring to your body. Without changing the pattern of your breathing just gently bring your focus back to it if your mind wonders. That’s it! Now you can even try this with water sounds😂💧 @mannasodawater we support a healthy mind.

One of the things I miss most about living in Colorado is @marionarasauce hitting me on the weekends for an awesome hike or camping trip! There is nothing like watching the stars, eating all the s’mores, and drinking yummy beers by the campfire. 🔥🔥 For now, I’ll settle for sweaty beach days and fruity drinks. #endlesssummer #missingcolorado #yoga #yogapractice #yogaeverywhere #yogaeverydamnday #moveyourbody #movement #mindfulmovement #practiceandalliscoming #practiceyogachangeyourworld #colorado #ilovecolorado #mountainyoga #hike #yoga #asanapractice

➡➡➡FORWARD➡➡➡ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Life is an ever flowing process and somewhere on the path some unpleasant things will pop up - they might leave a scar, but then life is flowing, and like running water, when it stops it goes stale. Go bravely on, my friend, because each experience teaches a lesson. Keep blasting because life is such that sometimes it is nice and sometimes it is not." ~Bruce Lee ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My boxing practice has been focusing on moving from a point of stillness. Finding the stillness means that my mind is still, my body is calm, and my exhales are long. When all of those things are combined, I can make contact on the bag with ease. I'm grounded to the earth and move with ease. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Through this practice, the buzzing in my mind and the pounding in my chest when I move away from stillness has become obvious to me. This awareness comes from meditation, exhalation, and observation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bringing this stillness out of boxing practice and into my everyday life allows me to continue to move forward is this beautiful, yet sometimes messy life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . . 📸: @nmicklephotography ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #linglefitness #charlestonpersonaltrainer #charlestonpersonaltraining #charlestonsc #charlestongroupfitness #powerofshe #athleta #charlestonliving #strongmindandbody #charlestonboxing #findyourstrength #fit2point0 #fit2point0pro #haestrainer #haes #mindfulmovement #findstillness #strongmindset #healingtrauma #healinganxiety #exhaleoften #traumainformedmovement #femaleboxer #findyourfocus #beasyouare #beyourbestself

I’ve spent too many years trying to be perfect at all the things. Perfect for who? Perfect to achieve what end? Slowly I’m learning perfect isn’t for me. Perfect leaves you never satisfied, burned out and uninspired. Perfect makes you hungry and angry and tired and reaching for something to numb the relentless intangible striving to be more. How about imperfect? Imperfect means you’re human. You’re real. You stutter & fumble, you’re challenged, you’ve got grit, you’ve been through some shit but you’re still standing. Imperfect means you’re awake to witness the beauty all around you and you’re willing to do things that you just might fail at, because you know that even if you do fail there was something valuable earned & given in the process. And that’s way more interesting & impactful than perfect. Perfect is for the birds.

wholisticbiscuit. Think about where you were last year.
All the things you carried that

Think about where you were last year. All the things you carried that used to worry you so much. The thoughts, the fears and stresses that consumed your mind. The goals you never reached, and the ones you did. The impromptu plans you made and the ones that fell through. The dreams you chased, the dreams that faded away, and the ones that still remain. But through it all - your ups and downs, twists and turns, you’re still here. You’re breathing, learning, living, growing, and thriving, regardless of your unchecked to-do lists. You are meant to live an expansive, exhilarating, and grace-filled life. And that looks different for everyone! Sometimes my most expansive and exhilarating life looks and feels like taking time to relax in a hammock. Whatever that looks like for you today, embrace it. Life is more than a list. 💚

olivia_oliver_yoga. The last couple weeks have been wild for me. Wild. For so many reasons

The last couple weeks have been wild for me. Wild. For so many reasons (career, new pets, friends, feeling equipped to show up for friends after a loss in my community, romance, etc.). I have been happier and lighter than I have been in a very long time. I often find that I meet these moments with two things. First, I question if this happiness just another obstacle in my search to go deeper AND then I ask myself when will this all explode in my face? The anxiety swells, past traumas replay in my head, and delusional catastrophizing begins. I throw myself back into the work of focusing on managing myself and am nothing short of tired.✨ * This time though, I have community to hold me. Not just my family and not just my close friends. I have found a community of practitioners and teachers in Toronto who, lately, I have felt held by.✨ * They hold space for one another and sometimes make space for people to share their experiences. It’s very simple, and not very involved. We aren’t doing therapy for one another, we just witness and hold space for one another. We don’t get wrapped up in one another’s stories, but we give each other permission to not be OK all of the time. That is the most precious, mature, and tender kind of love I have experienced.✨ * I am so greatful for the community of practitioners and students I have met at @octopusgardenyoga and those I have met in my studies at #yogatherapytoronto ✨ * Shout out and gratitude to @jayandrewsyogamusic for the Nada Nidra class that re-opened an inner exploration I am finally equipped to do and for being totally cool with me hiding in the back of his asana class while I re-grounded and did the weirdest and most physically lazy yoga practice of my life. Despite the “ugliness” and lack of perfection in my execution of the postures AND the intense emotional swells I was contending with that practice was one of my deepest. I feel my relationship to my practice has now shifted and it happened organically.✨ * Sometimes it’s as simple as just moving your foot with your mind and breath fully engaged with the movement.❤️ #yoga #yogatherapy #yogateacher #asana #meditation #dharana #simplicity #mindfulmovement
