HOW CAN YOU COME HOME? 👇 . 🎨@josie.doodles 💗 . ✒@anxiety_wellbeing . 💗SELF LOVE SELF CARE Looking after your human needs, taking time to find out what they are, & then making these a priority in your life by putting calm time & doing what you love in your plans, will keep stress at bay & your anxiety at normal levels👍a little anxiety is normal. . 🤰HOME A very important human need is accepting yourself for exactly who you are, you are your home. YOU The person you were at birth, the person before any tough situations, before pain, before other people's words, other people's ideas, other people's pregedists, before other people's feelings, emotions came into your home, if your needs weren't met self love can feel alien & like you don't deserve it, but you do . 💔ALL of the above can change our ideas, can have us not speaking kindly to ourselves, when we don't understand why people are like that with us we take things personally, we take their pain with us, but it's not ours to keep, we learn ways to survive because were too young to understand situations & very often as a child have no choice but to find a way to survive a situation, we end up taking these patterns with us, we needed then then but not now. It helped then but it's not now. . BRINGING YOURSELF HOME . 🤦‍♂️Take yourself back to your youngest self, write a letter as that young human, how you felt, your true feelings from back then, let it all out, it can bring you sadness, even anger (be safe & kind to yourself still) that's ok, maybe yourself needed a vent & didn't have the opportunity to do that, you can now, you're allowed. . THEN 👨‍👧Write your youngest self a letter, as the adult, remember you, the innocent you that tried to navigate tough times and speak to them with such love, kindness with understanding and compassion. They need it. You can build the bridge between the two, you can speak to them, explain as an adult what you understand of those situations now, that You are here for them now & forever more. Repost By @depressionsupport.info I had a conversation with a friend recently where she explained that whenever her boyfriend noticed she was upset he’d ask her “What’s wrong?” or “Are you ok?”. She’d answer “I’m fine” as most people would when asked. And the conversation would end there. She felt like she couldn’t fully get vulnerable based off that question. It got me thinking how important the questions we ask one another are- especially when trying to get to the bottom of how someone we love is feeling. This past week, dear friends have approached me to say, “I see pieces of you coming back to us.” Let me tell you, it has felt good! 😍 As much as I want to wake up one day and feel whole again, I have to remember that healing happens in pieces. Extremes don't work and will not last. Going to the extremes on diet or exercise will not give the results you want...or they may, but how long can you maintain that 1200 calorie diet and crazy exercise routine before losing control or losing your mind? 🔸Take it from "old me"...I did the extreme exercising to try losing weight fast or to "undo" a guilty binge (probably cause from over exercising and under-eating the night before). I did the whole justifying eating an absurd amount of ice cream because I was going to spend an extra 20 minutes on the treadmill. I did the whole "eat only broccoli and chicken" or the cabbage soup diet to try and lose those 10 lbs fast...and then "I would just eat healthy after" so I could maintain it. 🔸Fortunately, I have always enjoyed a good workout so it used to not bother me...but as time went on I just got sick of it. Doing the same thing over and over again and not getting anywhere. 😵 👉What SHOULD YOU DO? Take some time to learn about proper nutrition. Be patient and find an eating pattern that works FOR YOU! Not everyone has the same issues when it comes to diet...I encourage you to write out your goals and what you want to achieve with working out...if you start working out as punishment, you are taking the wrong approach! Think about what it can do for you and how you see yourself in 6 months, a year, 5 years from now REALLY GETTING IT. Are you more confident? Have more energy? Say hello to #paleo lemon collagen bites! 🤤 These are so quick and easy to make, and make for an amazing grain-free, low sugar, healthy and satisfying snack! The collagen adds some mega benefits for your bone + skin health! Here’s what you need: 1.5 cups roasted macadamia nuts (salted) 1/4 cup coconut flour 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut 1.5 tbsp fresh lemon juice 2 tbsp maple syrup 1 tbsp coconut oil 3 drops doTERRA lemon 3 scoops collagen protein Dried cranberries (optional). Pulse the nuts (you can use cashews as well, my diet doesn’t allow any nuts besides macadamia bc they’re the only nuts NOT high in omega 6) until you get a fine crumb, in a blender or food processor. Add all other ingredients except the cranberries and mix just until a dough forms. Mix with a wooden spoon if easier. Add in dried cranberries if desired. Roll into 1” balls and pop in the freezer for 20 minutes.
