Check! It wasn’t the time I had hoped for, but then again it wasn’t ideal conditions either. It rained nearly the entire run and there were three absolute downpours. In the end, I’m happy I did it. Since it was my first, it was a PR and I celebrated with beer and toasted cheese. Rest day Sunday. Had a nice afternoon. Actually slept in until 8am!!! Does anyone else consider 8am sleeping in?!? It is for me, especially with 3 active girls :) starting to think about the #coloradospringsmarathon coming up on Saturday the 28th. I am getting excited and trying to have a successful taper week. Anyone else have a hard time tapering? What I focus on for taper week. 💦💦💦 I like to be extra focused on hydration. Making sure I drink just a bit more water everyday to make sure I am hydrated enough. 🥬🍒🥓🥗🍳🧀🍔 Food, I like to be a little more diligent about the kind of food I am consuming and also adding in extra snacks. I do so much better if I just gradually eat more leading up to race day vs trying to eat too much the day before or after the race. I do fuel during the race but for me it’s what I do leading up to the race that matters the most. 😴😴😴😴😴 Sleep! I am a person that does not need a ton of sleep. I am and have always been a big morning person and I function pretty well on small amounts... but... sleep is still one of the most important things you can do for yourself and it should be priority. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ A few quality run sessions. I like to get in some shorter runs with some good fun fast strides to keep me feeling fast but not overdue the mileage. I always like to get in a little run the day before and usually warm up with a mile or so before the actual start of the marathon. And that about sums it up. 😁😁😁😁😁😁 Do you have a hard time with taper time? What things do you like to focus on and what things help you the most? Marathons are a beast but so fun and rewarding! Соблазн бежать быстро очень велик, но именно поэтому я и делаю это громкое заявление: я побегу в щадящем режиме 😳 Каждый, кто будет видеть как я начинаю гнать на дистанции - напоминайте мне об этом моем заявлении. Ragnar SUNSET 🌅 I did 2 Ragnar races for the past 2 years had so much fun and then when my friends told me that they’re going to Ragnar! I said- I can’t miss it-LETS GO! Very nice course,so close to Washington DC! But @ragnarrelay PLEASE for the next year! Bring some toilets 🚽 on the course and put more water station! Thank YOU! In general I can say it was so NICE,HOT AND FUN 5 hours of Ragnar👍 Ещё одни НЕВЕРОЯТНЫЕ выходные в копилку❤️ Благодаря моим друзьям! Пару недель назад мне написала моя подруга, и сказала что они очень хотят пробежать Рагнар! Так как никогда этого не делали! Я же бежала его уже 2 раза(помните мои видео, как мы спали под дождем и в грязи😳😭), тогда мы делали 80 миль на 12 человек. В этот раз, 36 миль на 4 человека! То есть, каждый человек должен пробежать 2 круга(по 4.7 мили) Миля *1.6=километров Я должна была ехать как группа поддержки, но так как у меня по плану был длинный забег, я решила поддержать мою подругу и пробежать её 2 круга с ней! Слава БОГУ,что мы начали около 4 вечера! Ребята которые бежали в 1 дня! Вам просто УВАЖЕНИЕ! Я не представляю как это бежать в 30 градусовую жару! Хотя представляю, но не хочу так бегать 😂 Курс очень маленький, и команда с которой я приехала, сделала его за 5 часов. Цель этого СОРЕВНОВАНИЯ 😂( закончить бежать до заката) МЫ УСПЕЛИ! Солнце спряталось! Загадали желания, сидя возле президентского самолета 😍 и отправились домой! А домой то 4 часа ехать:) В пол 1 я уже была дома! А в 10 утра уже на йоге! Машина это все таки классная вещь, но так как в НЙ водят машины 😭 то я лучше пешком пройдусь 😅 Это краткая история, половинки вчерашней субботы👍 Рагнар очень понравился! Единственное что, не было туалетов на пути и воды! А для людей которые наелись бубликов 😂 это не очень хорошо! ПРИМЕЧАНИЕ, Кто боится дружить с бегунами или думает что мы странные 😂,не бойтесь! Que prova foi essa? Em resumo, a prova é sensacional, de longe a melhor prova que participei até hoje. Percurso 100% plano, as poucas elevações que tem nem dá pra considerar, de tão curtas e leves. A organização da prova é impecável. Correr nas ruas de Buenos Aires foi uma experiência única, em meio as suas construções imponentes, suas avenidas largas e um asfalto que parecia um tapete. Ouvir os Argentinos cantarem o hino nacional antes da largada foi de arrepiar!!! Minha 3° maratona. Treinei muito, abdiquei de varias coisas, mantive o foco e a confiança e vim. Sobrei na corrida, vim tão bem preparado que terminei sabendo que podia mais, que este tempo eu ainda posso melhorar. E hoje, está aí o resultado, sub3 com louvor e de quebra, indice pra Maratona de Boston!! Melhorei praticamente 10 minutos da Maratona de Porto Alegre. Gostaria de agradecer, primeiramente minha família, minha esposa @juliana.oliveira.z e meus filhotes, Joaquim e Francisco. Que estão sempre ao meu lado, que brigam comigo (muitas vezes com razão) pelos meus treinos. Agradecer meu treinador @junior.acedo @trailclubbrasil pela parceiria de anos, que sabe extrair o melhor da minha performance. Na Maratona de Porto Alegre, já fomos para sub3, mas não rolou. Depois disso, ele ajustou meus treinos cirurgicamente e taí o resultado. Sabe o que está fazendo. Manja muito!!! Agradecer minha fisio @ftgabriela_ortopedia que deixou máquina alinhada e balanceada que é muito competente no que faz. E agradecer aos que me incentivaram, que torceram e me desejaram boa sorte.
