So I've decided to break a few conventional rules regarding @caitystanistreet press Handstand training. The general methodology is to master every standing Press Handstand E.g Straddle Press, Tuck Press, Pike Press & Crow Press Handstands, before attempting any Stalder Press Handstand. @caitystanistreet has mastered her Straddle Press, Tuck Press & Crow Press. We've hit a major standstill with Pike Press Handstand. This is because she is very tight & immobile through her shoulders & her Mid Thorax. I'm working with every thing that I have learnt through @simonsynergy & @brianaganad & I also take lots of advice from @suzanna.fit_vegan as a matter of fact @suzanna.fit_vegan has a lot of useful information & the advice that she has given me has been instrumental in regards to how I train @caitystanistreet A huge thank you @suzanna.fit_vegan. So even though we still haven't mastered Pike Press Handstand from a standing forward fold position, I feel that working on Pendant Press Handstand which is the first official Stalder Press Handstand will further assist in developing @caitystanistreet Pike Press Handstand. Now this isn't a complete Pendent Press & we will still need to build a lot more Core Movement compressive strength & Back Stability Strength. This slight use of momentum is getting us in the right direction. Planche tuck push ups is something I'd always kind of suck at. Perhaps it's because I go so low during the concentric part of the movement. Due to me always going super low on dips, I always forget I don't have to go so low. I'd figure this might help advance my planche tuck a bit. Try this strengthening exercise💪 . 🔹 Place your hands on 2 blocks with shoulder width, and feet on a blanket. . 🔹 Press your hands down firmly and lean forward with your back rounded. Exactly like in cat pose, you tuck your chin and tailbone under. The weight is more on your hands as if you're getting into #lolasana. . 🔹 Squeeze your knees to chest with your shoulder blades protracted. We often squeeze them together, but avoid this to keep the centre of your chest lifted. You'll notice even your chest muscles get activated 👍 . 🔹 Extend your legs back, keeping your upper body in cat pose shape. You're in plank pose with your toes pointed. "Mysticism and snakes cannot be separated. Wherever there was an exploration or experience of mysticism– in the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia, Crete, Egypt, Cambodia, Vietnam, and of course India – snakes were always there. There is no Indian temple without a snake. One aspect of it is symbolism, because in yoga, a coiled-up snake symbolizes kundalini. But the reason for this symbolic status is because when celestial beings (those whom possess consciousness and capability superior to human nature) entered this dimension of existence, they always took the form of a snake. This finds mention in every mythology on the planet. Mysticism is a certain dimension of perception and the snake has come endowed with that capability. Hindus venerate snakes because they represent eternity as well as impermanence, life as well as death, time and timelessness. A snake represents the three processes of the world- creation, preservation and resurrection. If one becomes very meditative, the first creature which is drawn towards that is a snake. This is the reason why you always see images of sages and seers with snakes around. All the Goddesses in the world– the Middle Eastern, North African, Mesopotamian, South Asian, Central European– are always symbolized together with snakes. It has such a sense of perception that it can perceive certain dimensions which human beings are longing and desperate to know. The snake is the first creature which will know even the slightest fundamental change that happens on this planet, because his whole body is in touch with the ground. He has no ears; he is tone-deaf, so he uses his whole body as an ear- if there is going to be an earthquake in California, a snake in the Velliangiri Mountains can tell you this at least 30 to 40 days ahead of time.
