I swear the hungry caterpillar is the story of my life 😂😂 Feeling good for the upcoming week (mother nature arrived so may explain some of why I struggled this last week!) And I really want to lose my 2lb gain! Although if I don't I won't mind. As long as the weight comes off consistently that's all I care about. I can't remember the last time I had a solid month without skipping weigh in or throwing in the towel, so I'm just proud of myself for trying and for going to weigh in when I didn't want to. My therapy is compassion based and I'm really trying to work on being compassionate to myself, even when not making the best choices. And I feel better for it. I didn't realise how often I berated myself or put myself down until I started seeing a therapist. And like she said, it must be nearly impossible to motivate yourself when you're constantly criticising yourself. She also says self compassion isn't about being a push over, it's actually recognising what's best for you and not saying yes to things you don't want to do, not doing everything for everyone else when you get nothing back etc, it's about putting yourself first when it's needed and not having to please other people. It's hard to change habits of a lifetime, but I'm really trying and I highly recommend therapy to everyone. I can't believe how much it's helped me deal with issues I didn't even know I had, and also deal with when I started using food for comfort and why (I was around age 7) It's so interesting and I'm hoping by dealing with the reason why I do it, that I can tackle my food addiction once and for all! Although I haven't lost more weight

Happy Sunday! Happy #weighinday! Although I haven't lost more weight again, it isn't that that I'm disappointed in. At almost 80 pounds I'm comfortable enough to maintain and be fine. What I'm disappointed in is that I haven't been caring for myself right. I haven't been eating as many fresh fruits and vegetables as I had been. I'm not drinking the same amount of water as I had been. And although I'm maintaining, and not eating way out of control, I'm also not eating healthy. I'm not eating balanced enough for what I know I should be and physically, I can tell. I have been breaking out bad this last month and my acne had just about ceased to exist. So, I'm officially calling it. Maintenance May is over. Although fun, I'm kicking my ass back into caring for myself. I got lazy. Let's be honest. But I enjoyed myself, nonetheless. I have one more week left in of May and I want to make it count. I need to get back into meal prepping. Back into counting calories and logging my food. I know I said I would do that before, but I didn't. I got too comfortable and nothing ever is accomplished when we get comfortable. This last week of May shall set the pace for June. What I'm going to try is pretend that this is my first week ever of weightloss. Back to the beginning. Get back in that mind frame. I'm thinking of trying to get down to 165 by the end of Summer. If I even get that far.
