I cannot stress enough how angry a part of me is for the strength I lost training for the second degree test. While I'm happy I did the whole test without burning out the powerlifter in me is livid at my current strength level. I know I'm being petty I'm the leanest I've ever been and moving good weight but my deadlift and bench have suffered but my drive to train is actually stronger. I want to be here more and more. I can't wait for my next training session and the gainz. Can't wait for the next meal.. the next cardio session, the next squat and chest day.. After deadlifts, rows from many angles and curls we came to this damn machine for burnout. His first round he hit 294.7 ft in 45 secs at level 3 resistance. After we easily can break 300 ft under a minute we'll raise the resistance. HOW TO PROPERLY PERFORM LAT-PULL-DOWNS! . All too often I see people performing lat-pull-downs with horrendous form. A failed 415. The first time touching over 400 in about 3 months and 15 lbs smaller than I was when I hit 465 in january. The endurance training for the second degree weakened me more than I imagined. 405 before this was a bitch. Granted my job is taxing but I normally can grind through fatigue. This.. this was me not lifting heavy for a good minute and my nervous system forgot what it feels like. Knowing where I am now i will come down to 315-335 and rebuild my reps. 🔴THE MALASANA POSE🔴 ⠀ 👥Tag, save, or share with someone that LOVES yoga. ⠀ Hip-opening yoga poses like Malasana are traditionally used to help prepare the body for long periods of seated meditation ⠀ Malasana improves balance, concentration, and focus. Malasana is particularly beneficial for women who are pregnant, as it can later aid in childbirth ⠀ Instructions: -Begin by standing at the top of your mat with your arms at your sides. Step your feet about as wide as your mat. -Bend your knees and lower your hips, coming into a squat. Separate your thighs so they are slightly wider than your torso, but keep your feet as close together as possible. If your heels lift, support them with a folded mat or blanket. -Drop your torso slightly forward and bring your upper arms to the inside of your knees. Press your elbows along the inside of your knees and bring your palms together in prayer position (Anjali Mudra). Work toward bringing your hands to your heart center and your forearms parallel to the floor. -Lift and lengthen your torso, keeping your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Shift your weight slightly into your heels. -Hold for five breaths. To release, bring your fingertips to the floor. Then, slowly straighten your legs and come into Standing Forward Fold (Uttanasana). Practicing Garland Pose can be a great way to challenge your balance and loosen tight hips. Keep the following information in mind when practicing this pose: •Avoid jerking, pulling, pushing, or forcing any movement in this pose. •Let your movements be slow and smooth. •Do not bounce your hips up and down. Doing so can overstrain your knees and hip flexors. •Keep shifting your weight back into your heels. •Lengthen the front of your torso and keep your spine long, not rounded. •If your heels don't come to the floor, place a folded, firm blanket or rolled yoga mat underneath them cc: @fittrainers

Are pullups are part of your workout? They should be! They're an amazing movement for building a strong, well developed back that looks and performs well. They teach you how to use and move your body appropriately, which is a good thing for every single person. If you don't have them in your program, why? Pullups are one of those movements that get grouped in and categorized as a beginner movement, simply for the fact that it's a bodyweight movement. If you've ever tried a pullup, you know that they're anything but easy, and for many people are one of those frustrating exercises that never seems possible. Sometimes the inability to perform a pullup is due to strength, other times it's related to form and/or mobility.
