My heaviest (230 lbs) 👉🏻 My lowest (115 lbs) . A lot of stuff went down between that time! Let’s talk about something real, REGAIN.... People always assume that weight-loss is a black or white thing. That you just change your eating habits, start exercising, then lose weight and keep it off. Yes in theory it is that simple. However, for many people the issue which led up to the weight gain in the first place is not that simple and is not something that can be fixed overnight with an adjustment to diet and exercise and a little self control. . As you can see I’ve had a huge transformation. When I originally set out to change my life I focused on purely the outside thinking that once I lost the weight I would be HAPPY with myself. Yes when I lost the weight I was the happiest I had been in a long time and I felt very accomplished. However that feeling didn’t last because I hadn’t put in the work on the inside. Which resulted in some regain. Honestly the amount of discipline needed to maintain and not regain is much much more than it is to losing weight. It’s also something no one prepares you for! In fact your body is actually working against you after extreme weight loss. . Your body stores fat much easier after extreme weight loss and it does this hormonally and physically. Which is one thing that attracted me to the ketogenic diet. I’m correcting my metabolism and healing all the crap I’ve put it through over the years with dieting. . My goal moving forward; to continue to improve my health, maintain my weight, and educate about the realities of weight-loss. Basic nutrition, healthy maintainable habits, consistency and patience. I’ve learned a lot over the years and I’m so happy to be in a place where I can share my knowledge with others to help them not only lose weight, but hopefully keep it off. Today’s lunch: home made crustless lorraine quiche! Ingredients: - 6 eggs - 50 grams of creme fraiche - 75 grams of sour cream - 60 grams of bacon bites - 10 grams of dijon mustars - 10 grams of spring union - salt and pepper to taste Preheat your oven at 200 celsius 1. Cook the bacon bites in a small non-stick pan 2. Wisk the other ingredients until a smooth mixture 3. Add the bacon bites to the mixture 4. Add the mixture in a cake pan with parchment paper 5. Bake the quiche for 20 minutes Enjoy!
