Well, without counting calories, we don't. But that's ok, lots of people lose weight without tracking, even before photo shoots I would diet to very low levels of body fat without tracking calorie intake. I would use various strategies like incrementally swapping foods for less calorie dense versions (same visible portion size), reducing portion size of the same foods, decreasing meal frequency etc. There are some diet strategies that have been shown to reduce food intake spontaneously (without counting calories) and also some little tips you can use to reduce food intake which are separate from the diet methodology you pick. So, here is a summary of 15 strategies that can promote decreased food intake, spanning diet methods as well as little tips that can nudge you in the right direction. Which of them have you tried? PREP FOR SUCCESS The single most important thing you need to remember to stay in ketosis is no cheat days, whatsoever! Ok, so we hear you. It's hard. Here's a diet (way of life, if you ask us) that promises weight loss through fat burn yet kicks you out of ketosis with a single slice of bread more or less. So how do you meander this? Simple, plan and prep! Choose 3 or 4 ingredient meals that you can quickly put together. Our grilled paneer is a testimony to minimal effort. Try it out and stay Keto! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GRILLED PANEER: Ingredients: For the marinade: ▪ 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt/Curd ▪ 1 teaspoon Ajwain seeds (carom seeds) ▪ 1/2 Lemon ▪ 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder ▪ 1/2 inch Ginger ▪ 4 cloves Garlic ▪ 1 Green Chili ▪ Salt to Taste ~ ▪ 200 grams Paneer (Cottage Cheese), cut to desired shape and size ▪ 1 Onion, cut into chunks ▪ 1 Tomato, cubed ▪ 1 Red Pepper, cut into chunks ▪ 1 Yellow Pepper, cut into chunks ▪ 1 teaspoon Butter INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Grind the ginger, garlic & green chili to a paste. 2. Cut paneer into desired shape and size. Here, we used a slab of paneer. 3. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, carom seeds, lemon squeeze, ginger-garlic-greenchili paste, turmeric powder and salt. 4. Apply marinade evenly on both sides of the paneer and coat the veggies adequately. Allow it to marinate overnight. (At least for 4 hours) 5. Heat 1 teaspoon of butter in a grill pan. Arrange the marinated paneer slices & veggies, and grill on medium heat, until golden on both sides. (Ideally not more than 7 minutes for each side for the paneer) 6. It's Burger time 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 Actually ⏩🔊 KETO BURGER TIME 😍🔥 The bun is completely lowcarb and the burger even VEGETARIAN ➡️ #beyondmeatburger 👅👅👅🔥💥 Picture 📸 by @ketomealz_official INGREFDIENTS for the bun (2 serves): - 2 tsp olive oil - 40 g cream cheese - 2 tbsp soy flour - 2 tsp soda water (sparkling) - 4 egg white - 6 pinches of erythritol - 2 pinches salt INSTRUCTIONS: 1. preheat the oven upto 170 C (sub superior) and place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray. Thinly spread some olive oil on the parchment paper. 2. In a bowl mix together: cream cheese, flour and sparkling water. 3. In a second bowl: Beat the egg whites together with erythritol and salt until it forms a thick pasture. 4. Gently combine the egg whites with the pasture in the first bowl. ‼️ The key in this step is DOING IT GENTLY ‼️ 5. On the baking tray place the dough with the help of a spoon in the form of 4 burger buns (ideal 1,5 tbsp per bun) 6. Bake for about 20 minutes. The picture on the left just makes me sad. I was at such a low point in my life and seeing that picture makes me remember the pain I felt back then.⁣ ⁣. Fast forward to the picture on the right, taken tonight at work. Oily skin (aka my built in natural highlighter 😂), messy hair braided back/AWAY from my face — I would have never even taken this picture at 360 pounds much less posted it for anyone to see. I haven’t been posting as consistently lately and I’ll be honest — life is hard right now. Between working a full time job that is taking a huge toll on not just my mental health but also my physical health (night shift is awful), going to school full time, trying to focus on my health/diet, juggling a new puppy and trying to have a social life, I’m completely drained. It doesn’t help that I’ve been gaining and losing the same ~10 pounds for the past two months. I’m not sure what I need to do to get my weight loss moving in the right direction again but it’s been messing with my head so bad lately. Do I try cycling Keto on and off? Do I need to somehow try to find the time to work out? I’m assuming the weight stall is due to stress so maybe a short change in diet will “shock the system” and get me back on track. I’m just spit balling here. If you’ve experienced this I’d love to hear what you did! On a positive note, I haven’t gained any weight that I haven’t turned around and lost and I’m still living a much better life than I was back in February. Life is still good even though it has been hard. 💛💛💛 I hope all of you are well!
