Start of the decade vs. now! I have seen so many of these on IG lately and I wanted to play along, so hereโ€™s my throwback Thursday. ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป On the left, I was at a New Yearโ€™s party just at the turn of the decade. I remember it super well. Keto Japanese Cheesecake ๐Ÿ”ฅ - Original Recipe: - Bowl 1: 2 egg whites whisked with sweetener (powdered, equivalent to 90g sugar so 30g Truvia / 90g Natvia) - Bowl 2: 150g Cream Cheese 50ml double cream/Almond Milk, 2 yolks 16/20g coconut flour (needs to be really fine to emulate regular flour, 25g butter, ยฝ tsp baking powder, 1 pinch salt, 5ml Lemon Juice. - Mix Bowl 1 + Bowl 2 folding into the egg whites. This dish is definitely a process and can be tiring if youโ€™re making a large batch but Tasty Af so kinda worth it ๐Ÿ˜ I added the videos in order of the steps ๐Ÿ™ƒ 1. ROAST CHILES POBLANOS 2. ADD ROSTED CHILES IN A BAG AND LET THEM SIT THERE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR(this will make it easier to peel the skin) 3. PEEL THE CHILE SKIN TAKE SEEDS OUT AND CUT INTO PIECES 4. FRY ONION AND ADD RAJAS 5. REST & RECOVERYโ€”your muscles need it! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ As much as I love being in the gym 4-5 days a week, I also understand the importance of REST DAYS! ๐Ÿ‘Œ . In order for your muscles to grow properly, they need recovery afterward, so it's okay if you're only hitting certain muscle groups 2-3x per week. Recently I've found a much better split that works for me: Day 1. Chest, Shoulders, Triceps Day 2. Glutes & lower body ONLY Day 3. Back & Biceps ONLY (heavy) Day 4. Chest, Shoulders, Triceps Day 5. Back, Biceps, & Glutes . It's not always easy finding a routine that's perfect for yourself, but this is what works best for me, personally. Since UPPER BODY strength is MY #1 PRIORITY, I prioritize those muscle groups first, focusing mostly on compound exercises [bench press, overhead/military press, tricep dips, deadlifts, lat pulldowns, (assisted) pull-ups, rows, etc.], then isolation exercises secondary [bicep curls, tricep extensions, etc.] When it comes to LOWER BODYโ€”glutes, hamstrings & calves are what I mainly prioritize throughout the week (quads aren't a huge priority of mine at this time, since I already have big legs ๐Ÿคท) Your OWN routine should depend on your OWN personal goals ๐Ÿ’ฏ . Dedication. Commitment. Rest. Recovery. Patience. Sleep. Hydration. Diet. Protein & Calorie intake. These are all important & play a role in your progress. You won't always have perfect days, but try to make the days count as best as you can. Keep your goals in sight & try to stay at least somewhat consistent.
