A block to bring the earth up to you in #uttanasana (knees can stay bent) plus a thousand other ways for block fun. A belt acts as arm extenders or go-go gadget arms in #janusirasana. Eye pillows and incense help you relax in Svanasana and tingsha's set the scene. Try not to drop them though 😮... ruins the relaxing scene you just set! Xxx

HAPPY HIPS (Disclaimer: it's so hard to make videos. And I'm too lazy to make it until I like it (im very shy of my Russian accent in English, so I will never like it anyway) so here it goes as it is. Plus. It's not about me, right? :) I did this gentle sequence in my class some time ago and coming for the next class students shared with me how free and light they felt in their hips even few days after the class. Which obviously made me super happy. I'm a huge fan of simple movements that are accessible for modern bodies, when it comes to teaching yoga. So I made these videos for my students and will share it here as well. It takes around 15 minutes and feels soo good! You will immediately notice how different your walking feels. 🙂 Stay in each pose 5-8 breathe, or repeat 5-8 times. When using a strap for back of the leg stretch, hold for 10-15 deep breaths. Be active and aware in every pose. Hiking season in New Zealand is almost here, give your hips some love. 💜👣

I’ve been MIA but for all the best reasons. Spending time with family 💖😊 and some amazing friends. Two of my oldest friends visited benedict and I this week.
