Hope is not plucked from the ether. Hope is made. Hope starts with a spark and kindled with love. It is nourished and nurtured. Kindled spark turns to flame and spreads with the verocity of a wildfire through body, mind, and spirit. . Long story short, I have found an acceptable combo of medication that works to control the extreme highs and lows of living with bipolar disorder…Trintellix & Lamictal…turns out the extreme tiredness and feeling of narcolepsy was from improperly managed allergies. So with a change in allergy meds and a return to this combo, I have been able to feel a sense of stability that has long evaded me. I feel happy and “normal” most of the time. . I have no doubt that medication and the experiences I’ve encountered and endured over the last year have saved perhaps my life but definitely my existence. Medication allowed me to reach a safe and comfortable place for me to be able to safely look at and work on my shit. What was I doing that wasn’t working? What have I done that has worked? It helped me to see that I cannot drink and accept that as reality as alcohol is an immense trigger for both my manic and especially my depressive episodes. I had used alcohol on a daily basis to the extreme. A very poor coping mechanism to “help” me get through my day, to numb the debilitating pain of the depression which has a catch 22 of making it worse. I knew this but felt powerless to change it. The effects of it interfered with my medication and helped me to see what I was doing to myself. I decided to stop fighting reality. Just after Thanksgiving last year I stopped drinking cold turkey. I started to feel better and handle life better with a more positive outlook. I tripped and stumbled on four separate occasions from January to early March and each time I regretted it. . In the first week of March I got my lab results back from my mandatory insurance physical. I panicked. Elevated liver enzymes. Up until that point I always had perfect labs, except low vitamin D, even with excessive drinking over the last 10 years. A flood of emotions would be an understatement. (Continued in next post)

I went to my cousins farm today and stumbled upon the little baby lambs he had. I just about died from all the cuteness. Tripod headstand has the many benefits of an inversion (more blood flow to the head, hormone balance, etc) with the added perk of arm and core strength. However, when beginning, people can put too much pressure on the head and cervical spine which can lead to injury. This setup relieves pressure on the head and helps strengthen the core even more! Tripod Headstand is so great for body awareness in inversions. In this variation your head will never touch the floor, so you can focus all of your attention on your alignment and core. The straddle work is particularly great work for those of you working towards a press handstand! . Follow the setup on my video, a blanket rolled up (not too thick just needs to creates a buffer between you and the wall for your hips) 2 blocks and 2 smaller blocks, books of the same thickness, folded hand towels...get creative. 😀 . Tips: . Make sure your blocks are shoulders distance apart. . Place your hands (sometimes it is also nice to try it on fingertips) so that your middle finger lines up with the middle of the block. Not to the inside. Not to the outside. Middle finger directly in line with the middle of the block. 🖐🤚🏼 . Bend your elbows and squeeze them in line with your shoulders. The elbows will try to bow out, don't let them. Squeeze them in. If they bow out your hands will also lift, so squeeze, squeeze, SQUEEZE! . . Lift and spread your shoulders even though you are on the blocks and your head is not touching the floor, the same rules apply. Your shoulders lift away from the floor, broaden and draw up towards your hips. . . Bend your knees in to your chest and shift your hips towards the wall. As you do this, your hand will want to get light, push down into them even more. . Inhale take your legs up. Straighten them and exhale drawing your navel in and up and squeezing your inner thighs together to connect to your core

I used to react impulsively and let my pride speak 😂 I was miss right always no matter what. It took lot of effort to step back for me and apologize when I had to. Sometimes relationships end because pride gets in the way, how stupid is that? When you analyze the situation you understand that maybe you could have react better or differently.
