💬 WHAT'S YOUR GO-TO DIETING STRATEGY??? 👇🏼 Comment belowwwww • There still seems to be far too much confusion about the concept of a "calorie deficit" and whether or not it's necessary for losing fat... • The thing that needs to be understood, though, is that it's the ONLY thing that's necessary 🙌🏼 • Whichever dieting method you utilize to get to it, that point of consistently consuming fewer calories than you burn should ultimately be your goal. • For the most sustainable, long-term results, avoid any extreme drops in calories, focus on steady progression (rather than any single drastic change), keep protein intake high, and create your deficit using a safe and enjoyable combo of both a decreased intake and increased activity ⚡️ • Personally, I follow IIFYM (the "if it fits your macros" approach), aiming for mostly nutrient dense foods, enjoying some cheesecake and Airheads Xtreme Bites here and there, and usually "fasting" from the time I wake up until around 1-1:30ish to restrict my feeding window just a bit 👌🏼 • I've found this to genuinely be the best way for me personally to be able to effectively diet. Getting a blueberry donut from @holydonutmaine might be the most Maine thing you can do while in Portland. 🍩💯 . Had the best morning taking a hot yoga class at @crispclasses with @jennyhughesvt followed by a sampling of @holydonutmaine ’s amazing potato donuts. I’m not even a big donut person, but these babies are so good! My fav flavors = the gf chocolate sea salt + blueberry, but I just realized that they also have sweet potato donuts... gotta try those next time! 🍠

🍺 The American Brewhouse King! @BurgerKing x @budweiser 🍺 • 🍔 At 1,550 calories, this burger consists of two flame-grilled beef patties, bacon, crispy onions, American cheese, mayonnaise and their all new tavern (beer) sauce. We’ve never tried beer before, but if Burger King makes a new sandwich, we have to give it a go! • 🍺 Other beer products we’ve tried were Beer Can Chicken from Popeyes in 2016 (delicious!) and Beer ‘n Brats Lays in 2016 and 2017 (Loved them!). The sauce actually was reminiscent of the chips, and the chips oddly enough reminded us of a creamy toasted grilled cheese with light tuna. The tavern sauce gave us similar vibes, like a bitter sweet (beer?) mayo on a beefy, cheesy burger. Absolutely would buy this again! P.S. Caramel Maple Bourbon Pecan Ice Cream 🍁🍨 😋 . . Archer Farms (known for making delicious trail mix batches which I’m a huge fan of) , created their own ice cream ! They have other flavors as well ,but out of the few choices that @target had , this one looked most appealing at the time . . . . The Maple Reduced Fat Ice Cream base was really sweet , had a pretty good ice cream texture and you can definitely taste maple 👌. Only downside I felt was that it melted super fast ! The bourbon 🥃 flavored caramel swirl is what threw me off a little ! Didn’t really like the caramel taste and it lowkey gave me a weird after taste as well. However , their was a bunch of caramel all in it as well.The swarm of pecan mix-ins were super fresh, crunchy and really made the ice cream taste great . Overall it deserves a B+ ! 8/10 . Would I buy it again ? Kid style dinner-ing and I’m not even mad! With all my activity today, my appetite has been a bit funky, so I kept my meal super easy. I have my lunch packed, laundry and other housework done. and a goal of a 30 minute walk while I’m downtown to get a jumpstart on week 2 of the StepBet I am in. We’re going to be in the car for 8-ish hours on Friday so I plan for that to be my rest day. I’m feeling accomplished. I get asked about snack 'ideas' or 'inspo' a lot and the truth is I believe there's 1 main problem with snacking 💥 Are you actually hungry or just Bored? 💥 If you are hungry don't snack - EAT a meal that will leave you satisfied and not reaching for more = protein source + carb + fat! . Bored? You're dehydrated & just cannot stop thinking about food so drink at least 1L water before eating anything yet💦 . Emotional eating is on a whole other spectrum 💭
