The photo on the left is about 1.5 years before I started taking the gym seriously and educating myself. I was a member at the gym, but I had no idea how to actually lift/eat/transform the body. You can build your body up from ANYTHING!!!! I didn’t realize how much my whole figure has changed and I can’t even begin to imagine how I would look today if I had never fallen in love with lifting and taking care of my body physically and mentally. I went from being HELLA insecure, negative, depressed, and trying to lose weight for all the wrong reasons and ways, to being confident, positive, and strong mentally. It takes A LOT of trial and error, but keep pushing yourself because after a few years of hard work, determination, and consistency you will be freakin amazed at how much you have grown and accomplished. NO ONE is motivated 24/7. We all have days where we have to force ourselves to just get up and do the damn thing!!! It’s so important to practice self love and take care of your body no matter what it takes!!!!! Pushing myself to be my best self every day is the best thing I have ever done for meeee. I am still growing and learning everyday. But looking at photos from the past I not only look totally different but that person has a TOTALLY different brain and mindset.

August vs December 👆🏼 Besides from getting less tan, i’ve got my squat-legs back, along with a little more body fat☺️ Personally i like my body with a little more “meat” than on the picture to the left. Also, this is a small weight gain going on over 4 months. Getting stronger and building muscle does not mean you have to do go all in with a huge calorie surplus kind of “bulk”. Actually i’ve just focused on eating in a way that made me able to perform properly while lifting - then the physique part just came along with that. Really i’m just enjoying my workouts and life in general at the moment, which is by far the most important thing to me ✨✨

When the tan and lighting were on point 🙌🏼 One thing I’m always adamant of with 90% of my clients is that they DO NOT WEIGH THEMSELVES! Girls in particular will always remember what weight they were at their “ideal” and I know from experience how much comparing what you weigh later on be it 6 months or 6 years can mess with your head and if your weight is up it’s almost inevitable that it will make you feel bad. You’ll never see me pop up a client progress or transformation picture and mention how much weight was lost. The weight on the scales is probably the least accurate way of tracking progress particularly if you are someone who weight trains and while we all know that, it doesn’t stop the scales ability to affect your mood. My goal with women and girls in particular, is to get them eating in such a way that will make them feel amazing, and get them eating AS MUCH FOOD as they possibly can by building it up gradually and using PHOTOS to track progress. It’s only in the last 12 months that I completely ditched the scales and that’s the point when contentment in myself rose, because I was looking at what was in front of me and not thinking “yeah ok but I’m 4kg up from when such and such pic was taken so surely I looked better then than I do now” - NOPE! You’ll be guaranteed years of discontent and can very easily lead to battles with unhealthy or dysfunctional eating habits. It’s totally unnecessary and you’ll save yourself torment in the long run by not giving in to a tool that for the most part means sweet sh*g all.

Post by @smurray_32 ➖ Intermittent fasting has definitely become more and more popular in the past few years and now considered one of those “buzz words” thrown around in the fitness industry, especially for those who want to lose weight. Therefore, hopefully the video explains pretty much everything you need to know about the diet for both muscle gain and fat loss, of course all according to the current scientific literature which is linked in the description box of the vid (6 GREAT papers going over everything IF related) ➖ Anyway, as with every video, I will let IT do the talking however, let me pre-empt what I expect to be the most common comment about this picture “What if you cannot fast until 1pm on a working day?”. That is completely fine, fasting is not for everyone therefore if you want to have breakfast, be my guest however, from personal experience/observations, I know that a lot of people tend to be extremely rushed to get to work in the morning followed by being their busiest in their first 3-4hrs of work and thus not overly food focused until later in the day. Slim thick 30 min leg circuit 💦 This workout is great for women that are trying to burn off some body fat and build a great physique at the same time🍑! The rep scheme is 15,12,10,8 for the weighted exercises and 20,15,12,10 for the non waited exercises. In between sets is a 15 sec rest and when switching the exercise their is no rest. 1 min rest in between sets! The focus on this workout is making sure you are hitting those short rest times and only then increase the weight when it becomes to easy. You should be out of breathe or close to it by the end of the circuit! You can apply this rep scheme to any body part you want or you can swap some of the exercises and put your own depending on what you want to focus on! The workout 🏋🏽‍♀️ Trap bar dead lift (or regular deadlift if you don’t have that bar) 15,12,10,8 Sumo goblet squat 15,12,10,8 Jump squats 20,15,12,10 Rest 1 min repeat 2-3 sets Bulgarian split squat (no rest because it’s single leg, and a lower rep scheme) 12,10,8,6 Hip thrusts 15,12,10,8 Jumping lunges (16 to make the lunges even) 20,16,12,10 Rest 1 min repeat 2-3 sets Big shoutout to my client maria who works 2 jobs, is a full time student and still makes the time to train with me! Still yummy though! 😬👍🏼😍 • I would advise to add 10-20 mins of freeze time to the recipe, after you apply the dredge. Last post I’ll make about mindset for a bit, i promise 😉But my headphones ran out of battery halfway through my last leg day of the week this week (aka my toughest workout 😩), and it made me extra grateful for the role music plays in my training. Because training is such an escape for me, I rely on music to help get me out of my to-dos and into the necessary mind-muscle connection. I value the headspace I occupy during my lifts so much that I’ve even learned to limit the number and type of conversations I have in the hour leading up to a session. This might seem extreme, but try keeping your mind clean from negative energy/draining exchanges before a lift, and see how much of a difference it makes!! When I know I’m doing something so beneficial for my being, I try to maximize the benefits in every way. Music helps me accomplish that. Anyway, these are some of my favorite artists in general, but especially while weight training. Who are yours? That was this set, and it feels SO GOOD because ya girl is getting her deadlift mojo back and it’s been a LONG time since I haven’t felt scared of deadlifts in the BAD way 🙏

🍪Great shot of Ariel's freshly baked protein cookies! @recoveringbagelaholic prepared our mix with just water to keep the calories and #wwsmartpoints down 🍪💪🏼 --- repost @recoveringbagelaholic --- I may not have a 🎄, but at least I don’t have to share my cookies with 🎅🏼! One thing that I’ve really craved on WW has been homemade or bakery chocolate chip cookies. I know I could treat myself, but some of the points are so high. So I just placed my first order with @proteincakery. I ordered a bunch of different flavors, but of course this needed to be the first one I made. These cookies are made with just water, so the points are 4sp for 3. (Some of the other flavors of cookies are 2sp for 3.) The texture is a little different, but the taste was great. The package also gives the option to make them with butter, which I’m sure would have helped the texture but would have brought the points up with it. What I loved about their website was that they had the smartpoints listed for each product, and then once my order was shipped I got another email with baking directions and tips that included pictures of what the products would look like with the various ingredients you could make them with. I thought that was super helpful! I added a few extra @lilys_sweets_chocolatechocolate chips to the tops of these cookies and my craving was satisfied. I can’t wait to try the other flavors that I got.
