There was a time when all I wanted was to sit my hips down and to have my thighs in one line, I would compromise the form but thought “so what? I’m down!” Then came the time to learn the square hip method - which was SO so much more challenging 😅. So why bother square if it’s a challenge? It’s so much more stable - especially when you start to add in additional progressions (such as foot to head and Hands to ankles)! :::: My tighter side is my left side (aka my photoshooting side 🤔 yeah...I’ll say it photoshooting is NOT a functional practice...but it can be fun 😅), instead of jamming it down to the floor, I often practice with a block underneath my hips before taking it any deeper. Solidify your foundations, practice with love and detach from ego. Día 21 de #BendAsNeeded con @cyogalife #Ustrasana La postura a la que Carmen nos pretende llevar con el mini-set que comienza hoy es #RajaKapotasanaII Ella comienza con una variación de #camel con una pierna en #ardhabhekasana o media rana. Como ésto es demasiado intenso para mí, he preferido seguir la idea de @jinny.suh.00 que propone trabajar hacia #laghuvajrasana (misma postura si la giras 90° pero pelín más accesible). La idea es seguir llevando la extension a la columna dorsal a medida que te pliegas, manteniendo para ello la proyección de los muslos y la pelvis hacia delante. Como podéis ver aquí, yo no lo consigo del todo; cuando bajo las manos de los talones a la planta del pie, aún mantengo el arco pero cuando empiezo a bajar más y llevar los brazos al suelo, pierdo la proyección y empiezo a "inclinarme" hacia atrás🥵 Es lo bueno de grabarse, que puedes ver y localizar donde está el fallo. Can you guess which one is better? 😂. ⁣ ⁣ Use this yogi squat as inspiration to sit straight while working. Lift your chest and lengthen your low back vs rounding. This simple shift will have your low back feeling so much better and will give you better posture while you're being productive at work. In this yoga posture, you'll find more integrity and energy by lifting up from the pelvic floor and focusing on a long spine by lifting your chest. Tuck your chin to lengthen through the crown of your head. ⁣ ⁣ And don't forget to breathe, on your mat and while at work 😉.
