Hands on assists is definitely my favourite part of ashtanga yoga. As I walk this path I meet many great teachers and all of them have their unique way of helping us in asanas. Some are very gentle, some prefer stronger assists, but all of them are there to help us...to help us recognize our potential, to help us overcome our doubts and fears, to help us find our what we really can do (and how far away is it from what we think we can do). I’m super grateful to be part of this ashtanga lineage, where I can walk this path with my students and be there when they need me. Thank you so much for trusting me, guys! It means a world to me! 🙏🏻❤️ 🇨🇿 Asistování v pozicích je důležitou součástí učení v ashtanga józe. Jak pronikat hlouběji do téhle praxe, potkávám mnoho skvělých učitelů, z nichž každý má svůj unikátní způsob, kterým dopomáhá v pozicích. Někteří jsou hodně hodně jemní a jiní využívají více své síly, ale všichni jsou motivováni touhou pomoci svým studentům. Pomoci jim najít odvahu...pomoci nám uvědomit si, že naše limity jsou mnohem dál, než si sami uvědomujeme, pomoci nám najít vnitřní sílu a pružnost, pomoci nám se v pozicích cítit pevně a pohodlně. Jsem neskonale vděčná, že mohu být součástí téhle tradice. Tradice, kde mohu jít se svými studenty do zákoutí jejich těl a duší a pomoci jim projít temnými místy až na světlo. Být pro své studenty oporou, když ji potřebují. Děkuji všem, co mají chuť se ode mě učit, protože jediné díky nim, mohu být tím, co me neskonale naplňuje - učitelem. Esta vez vamos a utilizar un bloque. • Nos sentamos con piernas flexionadas manteniendo la posición y la espalda recta. • Colocamos un bloque a la altura del pie de la pierna trasera y vamos haciendo movimiento de lado a lado por encima del mismo. • Podemos variar la altura del bloque según nuestra flexibilidad pero siempre manteniendo la espalda recta. Hello lovely people 🖤 Ich hoffe, ihr hattet einen wunderbaren sonnigen Sonntag. Man darf sich ja nicht beschweren, aber mir war das heute fast schon wieder zu warm 😋 (ich bin schon auf den Winter ❄️ eingestimmt), aber so ein bisschen Sonne ☀️ ist einfach Balsam für die Seele. . Da ich heute eine Barre Vertretung übernommen habe, gab es bei mir im Anschluss nur eine Flexibility-Einheit. Ich habe irgendwann mal aus gesundheitlichen Gründen - Schmerzen im Oberschenkel - mit dem Dehnen angefangen und bin seitdem süchtig danach. Man bekommt eine ganz andere Körperwahrnehmung und nimmt in Zeiten, in denen man weniger dehnt, richtig wahr, wie sich die einzelnen Muskeln, Bänder und Sehnen zusammen ziehen und sich irgendwas im Körper nicht richtig anfühlt. . HÜFTÖFFNER 🤸 "Nimm die Knie zusammen!" - "Sitz nicht so breitbeinig da!" - "Schlag doch die Beine übereinander, das ist eleganter als Frau." :: Was man als Mädchen so alles hört in Laufe des Aufwachsens. Es ist einfach eine Prägung der Generationen, die schwer loszulassen ist. Ich schlage auch gern die Beine übereinander, aber ich sitze auch unheimlich gern breitbeinig da. Ist einfach so angenehm entspannend! Ich hab das Gefühl, dadurch mehr Freiheit zu haben. :: Durch Yoga habe ich gelernt, wie unheimlich wichtig die Öffnung und Bewegung der Hüfte ist. Sind wir gestresst, spannen sich die Muskeln um die Hüfte an. Diese Verspannung (physisch und emotional) kann sich in alle Richtungen auswirken - von den Füßen, Knien bis zum Nacken. "Hips don't lie" bekommt eine ganz andere Bedeutung 😅 Hüftdehnungen erfordern die Fähigkeit loslassen zu können. Gerade, wenn uns immer das Gegenteil erzählt wurde. :: Ich fordere euch dazu auf: Setzt euch breitbeinig hin, schlagt nicht die Beine übereinander, lasst die Verspannugen los. Tag us and use hashtag #pilatesismagic . Keeping it simple, practicing the classical mat. . 😊 . This week, we show you our Swan to Single Leg Kick to Double Leg Kick. . 😀 . Please join us by posting or commenting below with exercises you resist doing......... . 😕 . I resist doing Swan as I find it hard to hold my shape and lengthen arms and 🦵 . I still resist teaching Double Leg Kick, mainly because of the time it takes to get in to the setup. I am working on it with my mat class clients ❤️ . ✨✨ Exercises covered this week: Swan 🦢 Setup Lie down on your tummy. Place hands on the mat, elbows bent. Legs lengthened and wider than hips, legs switched on in a slight turnout. Engage glutes and pelvic floor, press hands down and lift chest up, lengthen arms fully. Breathe in and reach chest up and away as you press tops of feet down. Breathe out and hold your shape as you reach arms and legs up. Inhale to reach chest up, exhale lengthen legs up. Do 4-5. . Single Leg Kick 🦵 Wrap left hand over right fist and press arms down as you lift chest up. Legs hip-width. Hold the shape of your spine as you ‘kick’ right heel to bottom ‘in, in’ then lengthen and reach leg long and away. Repeat on other leg. Do 3 sets. . Double Leg Kick 🦵 🦵 Lie on tummy, legs long and pressed together. Place tops of hands on back, stacked palms up. Send hands up spine and draw elbows down to mat. Look left, right cheek on mat. Exhale to kick heels to booty three times the inhale to lift chest, lengthen arms and legs away, exhale to lower and look to the right, left cheek on the mat.
