Is HIIT (high-intensity training) hard for you? If so, why? . . You know it will end shortly after it begins — why is it hard for so many? I used to struggle mentally to give full intensity for the entire duration of a HIIT session. . Then, one time, I asked myself, what actually hurts? I’m breathing heavier than usual, which is uncomfortable but nothing is physically painful. This is a weird thought, but I hope it helps someone: next time you’re doing something like HIIT, running, battle ropes, etc., and you want to stop before you’ve met your goal, ask WHAT PHYSICALLY HURTS? My answer is usually nothing. Just warm sensations in the muscle I’m working and an uncomfortable lack of breath that I know will return shortly after I reach my goal. I think it’s the lack of breath that scares most. So don’t quit. Finish the exercise. Stay calm, hands above your head to allow lungs to fully expand. Your breath will come back. AND THEN DO IT AGAIN. . . HIIT can greatly improve cardiovascular health, adding literal years to your life just in exchange for a few uncomfortable minutes a day. Plus, your endurance improves over time, so it becomes more comfortable & you’ll likely be less winded in daily activities. . What’s your favorite type of HIIT?. . **if you have conditions that prevent you from regaining your breath naturally after, obviously follow doctor suggestions on how to improve heart health. @team_casey

It seems like just yesterday, I made up my mind to get healthy, to reinvent myself, find my peace.. my middle ground draw My Line in the Sand..... all those things we say we will do when we get our lives together. .. and I'm actually doing it. Trust me if I can, ANYONE can💜💜 . . Not a lot happened last week nonetheless here's a recap. . . Because Mother Nature decided to show up I did not do any cardio or HIIT last week but I did make a conscious effort to make sure I ate properly. I am finding it hard to get my water intake back up. I don't drink sodas often. the only one I really will drink is a ginger ale. I'm not drinking water and that's weird. Im just sitting around thirsty.....
